A great camera

(5 out of 5) by Tony Williamson on Nov 3, 2009 (Northamptonshire UK)
Having used a Canon PowerShot A70 for some time and needing a more up to date (but not the latest type) camera, I opted for the PowerShot A560 that was on offer at a great price, delivery was fast and it was well packed.
The camera is very easy to use, having the large LCD screen plus the viewfinder is very good.
There is a basic user guide in the box but for a more advanced guide you need to access it on the supplied driver/software disk.
It comes with the Canon Zoom Browser software which is an excellent way to keep your photo`s in order.
I think this camera is really good, the photo`s I have taken have been of excellent quality, ok it is not as small as some of the thin camera`s on the market but it is nice to hold and use and can be slipped into a jacket pocket.

Very good camera, if you're looking for a good all rounder

(4 out of 5) by Jay on Sep 11, 2009 (Manchester U.K.)
I bought this camera with the selphy printer, which if you look is listed on here and is an extra 30-40 pound with the printer (the printer alone is about £80).
I used the A560 for about a year, then upgraded to the IXUS 80 IS as it's smaller and is 8.0 Megapixels, the A560 is 7.1 Megapixels. however, the IXUS 80 IS optical zoom is less, and I noticed I had to wait that bit longer to retake a picture.
I gave my A560 to my girlfriend to use for her school, so I asked her to swap and she can use the newer model for her school, so for me the A560 is my choice and still is today for an allround camera.

Not great

(2 out of 5) by Mr. T. P. Ardill on Jul 7, 2009 (London)
I have been a bit disappointed with this camera. Despite having 7 mega pixels the lens quality is poor, so it just doesn't take that good quality pictures. Also mine seems to have a fault which makes it think it is going to run out of batteries almost as soon as you have replaced them. Need to switch on and off again to rectify.

Well worth the price

(5 out of 5) by Alex DeLarge on Apr 11, 2009 (Dublin)
I've been using this camera for about four months now, and it's been worth the money paid (although I'd advise shopping around - mine cost less than the price listed here and came bundled with a printer).

- Excellent picture quality

- Takes real batteries (NiMH AA are the ones I use, rechargeables that have plenty of life between rejuicing)

-Good build quality

- You can more or less figure out how the thing works without using the manual

However, be sure and get a memory card as the one it's bundled with is really only for demonstration and holds about four pictures. You can get genuine Sony 1 gig HD cards that are lockable for less than four quid from a major retailer (the one that rhymes with al fresco) - these 1 gig cards will hold more than enough pictures/video unless you're a press photographer or a budding film director.

All in all - a very good product for the price.

Digital camera

(4 out of 5) by R. Mccartney on Apr 10, 2009 (Harlow, UK)
An excellent small digital camera. It has the advantage of a view finder as well as the screen for viewing the image which all digital cameras have. In bright sunlight in the past I have found the screen difficult to use. With the Canon Power Shot I can put the camera to my eye and see clearly what it is I want to photograph. This facility is the reason I chose the camera. As it turns out the camera itself is very good indeed, very easy to use.
