Although the TG3 camcorder has a folding screen it is touch sensitive for menu operation, this is the screen protector recommended by Sony and the reason for purchase. The TG3 has a relatively low reflective LCD screen; unfortunately the amount of glare with the protector fitted makes it unpractical, I decided to live without it.

Protect the screen for thumb marks
These screen protectors are for most Sony camcorders with a 2.7" LCD display - most of Sony's handycam range in fact.
Having just bought a Sony TG3, i didnt want my thumb marks all over the touch screen so i bought these. You get 2 in the case, which is a good idea because i accidentally dropped my first one - and it ended up with hair and dust all over it from the carpet. (-_-)
Basically, the actual protector is attatched to a bigger piece of film which you place over the screen, and then just slowly pull it back to let the protector stick down - doing it slowly and flattening it helps get rid of those air bubbles.
Overall its a good product, the Sony TG3 is a pretty expensive and great looking product so i didnt want to ruin it just yet. These protectors (well protector for me as i ruined the first one) do a good job of protecting the delicate touch screen. Although, the price is hardly a bargain. 4/5.
Recommended for those of you who like to keep your gadgets as clean as possible e.g. keeping a mobile phone's screen cover on for as long as you can
