I recently purchased the Philips 32PF9641D and I have to say that overall I am very impressed with the picture quality. Before purchasing I had looked at lots of LCD's in places like Currys and Comet and I have to say that I was disappointed with the standard picture quality of the vast majority of affordable (£700-900 for a 32")LCD TV's. I decided to finally take the plunge after reading a review of the Philips which stated that the standard definition images were very good. This was important to me as I won't be getting SKY HD until more channels come available. Anyway, the picture quality is extremely good providing the broadcast is good quality. Occassionally, the picture image looks a little strange especially on solid colour backgrounds, but I think this is just a problem with LCD's in general, and thankfully it's not very often. Also, I am a very picky person and so I often sit very close to the TV and really scrutinise the screen. The sound is very good and the Ambilight is great!!!

Overall, I have been very impressed with this Tv and it was well worth the £690 I paid at Comet!
