When I first looked at this camera, I was a little sceptical, as it was a bit cheaper when I bought it about a year ago. I thought a camera couldn't be very good for such a low amount of money.
But when I got it, I realised it was a fantastic bargain. I've had it a couple of years now, and it's been brilliant for any pictures I've needed to take, like outside in snow or at nighttime, the flash is perfect and clearly defines whatever you want to take a picture of, making it bold and striking. It's a fantastic little camera, with also a REALLY good zoom! I only just realised how far you can go with the camera's zoom, and it's really handy for taking pictures of things that are a bit far away.
Oh and it's so easy to get all the pictures onto your computer and organise them all. Honestly I get really annoyed at that sort of thing but it's really simple to do.
Honestly, if you want a camera that may not be very flashy or modern, but's relatively cheap and takes fantastic pictures, get it. It's really handy for holidays and everyday use, and after purchase you'll soon find everyone will be asking you for your photos!
Oh though I must say one little glitch about this product that annoyed me thoroughly just after purchase, which was the memory card that you get with it. It may have changed now but when I bought this product I got a memory card that could only take 9 photos, which was disapointing. So I'd check how good the memory card provided with the camera is before you actually buy it, because wanting to take loads of pictures with your new camera and then finding out you can only take 9 at a time is really annoying!! :)

canon powershot camera
this was a replacement camera for the one that accidentally got filled with sand!! As described the condition was as new, and the camera arrived within 3 days. Brilliant service.

Dreadful
I bought this last year and wish I hadn't. The pictures are terribly grainy and no amount of fiddling with the settings improves matters. Whatever you do, buy another camera.

Sensational for the price
I have a semi pro Minolta camera, that I never seem to have to hand when needed, due to its size. It cost almost £1000 a few years ago. It can produce superb pictures, but needs time , effort and some skill to achieve that.
I decided to try a cheap compact (£56) that can easily be carried in the pocket and is ready to go in seconds. The name is pretty re assuring - its a Canon, so you would expect high standards. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. This camera can take stunning photos. It even has a macro facility that allows you to focus within an inch or so of the subject.
With a 2Gig memory card for around £10, you can take and store around 700 photos. I have seen nothing that comes close to the quality of the photos that this can take for less than £200 or so - even on point and shoot auto setting.
As with all smaller cameras, there are limits, but for most users, this ticks all the boxes. There are many features that can be explored, but for most folks will buy this for 'point and shoot' photograhy and will not be dis-appointed. 5 M pixels allows superb A4 reproductions. For most users this is more than enough. I doubt even 1 in 1000 users have ever needed a photo larger than that. Don't be fooled into thinking more pixels equates to a better camera.
While small overall and pocket sized, it is thicker than many newer models, but with a width of about 40mm its still not too large. Why pay many times this price to get more Mpixels and 10mm thinner?
I suspect the Minolta will be up for sale soon!

Excellent product recommended to others
I am not a good digital camera buyer, but when I bought this camera I was really impressed at the photo/video quality and the great capability to shoot photos in the dark. It also has a traditional viewer to get the angle view of the photo perfect.
This camera in any occasion will not let you down, with sharp, clear and precise photos/videos I would recommend this camera to anyone that wants a good start in Digital Photography or does it as a hobby.
In conclusion, I would give this camera a 10/10 score.
