Excellent Radio!!
(5 out of 5) by E.O on Sep 20, 2007 (London)Received the radio today and what a difference compared to my old VDO radio, the sound is fanatastic and looks good.
I bought mine from DynamicSounds, they were the cheapest on Amazon and the threw in "free" 3.5mm aux in cable.
Setup is easy as pie,wife had doubts but dont they always, have the aux cable coming out of glove box should i wish to use a mp3 player, all you do is just plug into mp3player headphones sock and switch to aux on radio and presto.
The main reason why i bought this was because of the usb function, i have only tested it briefly, I put 2 files on 1gb stick, the radio sees each folder as an album and display "album 1/2/3..." there are 2 buttons for album + & - allowing one to ascend or descend between albums/folders. From the brief testing i have done the album/folder name ie. Queen is not displayed, only shows album 1 or album 2 and so forth, not sure if this is customisable will have to do more testing tomorrow.
Overall i think this is a great radio for the price, what you waiting for go get one!

Sony Not Pony
(4 out of 5) by Daniel Carver on May 7, 2008 (UK)I've had this stereo now for a couple of months and it makes driving even more of a pleasure. I went for the full works and had the stereo connected to the steering wheel controls. as well as buying the Sony adaptor (on Amazon for £10). As a result, my i-pod sits snugly in my glove compartment and I can now control my playlists etc from the head unit. This though, is why the product doesn't receive the full five stars. Without the adaptor, you're a bit stuffed - the unit creates its own playlists which you can't amend. Plus you can't access your existing playlists. The clever bggers at Sony made the CDXGT610 compatible with Sony Stage rather than the far more common i-tunes.
I can't recommend enough buying the adaptor - easy to install and makes your music far more manageable. One small gripe - If you turn the car off the unit goes back to the beginning of an album/ playlist (or whatever you're listening to) rather than continuing play from where you left off - it's an annoyance, but not the end of the world.
