I bought this as I drive a number of different minibuses and found the nuvi was too far away if stuck to the screen. I used this today for the first time and it was excellent, no movement of the nuvi, a very impressive piece of kit. I use the dashboard disc in my own car, but if, like me, you drive a different number of vehicles then this is an essential piece of kit.

Great for my car, didn't like sticking the Garmin on the window and couldn't get the mount that came with the sat nav to stick anywhere on the dashboard. This mount is simple and works brilliantly with my C510 Garmin. Price seems high but well worth it.

I was very annoyed with the suction pad that my Garmin sat nav came with. The problem was that it did not stick to the windscreen for more than about 10 minutes. I tried cleaning the screen, the suction pad, blowing on the suction pad, spitting on the suction pad, all to no avail.
I bought the Garmin Universal Friction Mount and solved the problem. I have been showing it off at work and it appears that not many people know about this fine product. I love it and wish I had known about it a long time ago. One of the most useful gadgets I have ever bought. I highly recommend it.

Bulky but very stable and can adapt to uneven surfaces as well as be squashed into corners. Solid and well-made, too. Recommended if you wish to avoid tell-tell marks on your dash/windscreen.
