Excellent product
After buying my new iPod Nano I looked around for ways of protecting it and tried a few of the products on the market. For various reasons none were very satisfactory and I ended up giving the iSkin a go.
It's works very well and does everything you'd want from a product of this sort. The first layer of protection is a silicon sheath that covers everything except the screen, the base of the iPod (where you plug in the 'phones) and the 'lock' switch at the other end.
Next is a rigid plastic cover that snaps over the front and sides of the iPod. The cover offers protection against bumps but leaves access to the control ring and leaves the screen bare.
Lastly, you have a clear rigid screen-guard that slips under the rigid case to protect the screen.
It all works very well and everything is given the level of protection it needs while still allowing you to view the screen and use the controls in the normal way. On the back of the sheath is a detachable clip that can rotate on its base - it rotates on a 'ratchet' system so you can position it how you want without it twirling around at random. I thought the clip looked a little flimsy when I first saw it, but it has proved to be very tough and useful - it's perfect for clipping to your belt.
The system is very slimline and hardly adds any bulk to the Nano. I use the 'Arctic' skin and am saving the other two for spares.
