Being the height of summer and fairly reasonable barbeque weather, for England anyway, I recently splashed out on this speaker system principally so that I could listen to the radio and music in the garden. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the sound that the system produces and by the ease with which you can set it up. I have tried a few other "wireless" products over the years - video senders, bluetooth senders etc but with only limited success and they are usually so fiddly that you don't use them as often as you would like. However, the AQ Wooden Wireless Cordless Speaker System powered by mains or battery is excellent. It produces good sound quality - both spoken and music - that is more than adquate for indoor and outdoor use. But probably almost as important to me was the ease with which it can be set up.

I have just purchased these black wireless speakers and I think there absolutley brilliant. I wasn't expecting to much from the sound quality with the speakers being wireless, but the quality is extremely good, very impressive. They are incredibly easy to set up via a TV, computer or HI-FI and also ideal for using outdoors for a barbecue.

I live in Italy and use these speakers to listen to all the BBC Radio channels via my computer. Very easy to set up and they work throughout my flat which has very thick stone walls. Can also be attached to the hifi for party music in the garden.

Perfect for positioning close to aged parents favourite chair (you don't get your ear drums blasted by the painful volume from the TV). Volume adjustment at the speakers or the usual way through the TV. The house is old too and the wandering speakers work fine in the kitchen, through solid walls. A great investment for comfort.

Fine for day to day eg radio listening, or background while doing the washing up, I'd say,but...
- there's some background buzz/hum
- volume controls on the speakers are small and fiddly
- sound quality is only Ok

Good points are:
- easy to set up
- nice looking and good size
- the lack of bass will prevent you tormenting the neighbours!
