Harmon Kardon Go & Play

(5 out of 5) by Bluesbabe on Feb 15, 2007 (Yarm UK)
After months of searching for a decent speaker system worth the money I came across this lovely bit of kit in a high street shop and was blown away by it. It beats the Bose Sounddock by far, which I never thought I would say being a huge Bose fan. The sound is superb with only very slight distortion at high volume but this does depend on what setting you have your iPod EQ on. The HK Go & Play is worth the money and looks good where ever you put it. Obviously too big and heavy to take on holiday with you but easy enough to pick up and put anywhere in the house.

compact, powerful, stylish !

I have been searching for a decent RMS speaker for my Creative ZEN....the fact that this speaker is for ipods was not a problem, there is a jack after all and I would not have used it with the ipod in place anyway as I need to see the display and need to access it every 2 or 3 minutes.(I will use it in my job) I'd personally like a visual display of what the volume is (as using the creative the ability to do volume goes to the speaker only) and a bass/treble control would be nice as sometimes I have found some songs sound too bassy when at higher volumes. I have heard the ipod speaker, the bose, the IM7 altec lansing...and I know creative have a new docking speaker but RMS WAY too low for me sadly ....and of all these I have heard....this was the best.

Harman Kardon Go Play

(4 out of 5) by Riccardo Covezzi on Jan 23, 2007
Pros: Good clear crisp sound. Very little sound distortion at maximum volume. Nice design. Fully protable (good handle) and it can operate on batteries. Good volume for size.

Cons: No treble or Bass adjustment (unlike the Altec Lansing iM7 speakers). A bit bulky.

I compared this product to the Altec Lansing iM7 speaker (currently some of the best in the market) and the sound quality of the Harman Kardon is definitely clearer.

Harmon Kardon Go & Play

(5 out of 5) by R. Bain on Mar 5, 2008 (Epsom Surrey)
Having read the reviews on this item I decided to go for it. I initially thought of by the Bose system however mighty glad I didn't. The sound is crystal clear even when turned up loud, haven't dared trying it at full volume yet. A bit bulkier than I imagined it would be but the quality of manufacture is first class. Would certainly recommend it if you like your music loud and clear or low and distinct.

Amazing....clear, crisp....I love it

Was initially going to pick up a Bose or Apple ipod dock, but the sound from this just blew me away. A little more expensive than the rest but well worth the price.
If only it had a clock and the instruction manual was more elaborate but I guess you can never satisfy us customers.
Well done Harman!
