TomTom Navigator 6 - Bought for my Orange SPV M700

(5 out of 5) by Mr. A. A. Akram on Oct 4, 2007 (UK)
I recently purchased this item and I can say that it is very good!

It comes with all the usual menu options that you would expect from TomTom. It shows you where speed camera locations are and you can (for data charges) get traffic updates. Im using this on an SPV Orange M700i pda and it works fine. It takes time to find the first satellite but after that its fine - usually finds two, three or all five satellites.

You don't get charged for using this. Some people are confused. You use the GPS function on your phone not the GPRS so you won't get charged for using this. The only cost that you incur is that of actually buying this. Since its all preloaded maps its just a case of transferring the stuff onto memory card and using it. You get the voice commands too (you can choose the male or female voice or add you own!) You can update your maps using the TomTom site so you will always be up to date with the latest content - so you wont get lost:D

With this peice of software you wont get lost ever again!:D

EXCELLENT

(5 out of 5) by Mr. Anthony Gibb on Jan 20, 2008 (Salisbury UK)
Having an HP PDA and seperate GPS I needed something better than Pocket Streets. This product is just what was needed and has transformed the use of the PDA without having to buy a seperate TomTom. The software loaded and ran without any problems; it was very easy to set up with a good choice of voices and screen colours. It is accurate and quickly restructures if you decide to go a different way than that suggested. Just the job.

Buy the original direct from Tom Tom

(1 out of 5) by T. Labeodan on Jul 13, 2009
I advise that you purchase the product direct from Tom Tom, with the box and product code from Tom Tom so that you can always activate the product directly from the Tom Tom website.
I bought one of the used ones from a reseller and the product codes I was given didn't work with my mobile device. I always had to email the reseller who in turn provide series of other codes, which did not work still. I've also found out that if bought from resellers, every device will have it's own unique device code. This means you will only be able to install on one smartphone device if you have more than one. I can't install on my second Nokia E71 because it's got it's own device code and the resellers have not been forthcoming with assistance.
I recommend you buy fully boxed product from Tom Tom so that you can always contact Tom Tom for activation.
