Not too bad... £[...] in Tesco!!

(4 out of 5) by R. M. Hogg on Jan 6, 2007 (Southampton, Hampshire)
I bought these Headphones in my local Tesco... for only £[...] (WOW), and when i first took them out of the box and plugged them in, the right channel wasn't working properly. After pushing the right side a bit it worked fine, and still is. As per the last review I did have a few problems with the signal, but if you play round with the channel selector of the back of the transmitter, and the tuning dial on the headphones themselves i now have a perfect signal. Also i had to play with the bass/treble on my computer's settings as the bass was a bit overwhelming, after this it was all good. All in all for £[...] i really cannot complain. The sound quality is great, and the signal strength is fine... I can walk all round the house and noot need to re-tune them @ all. (Star rating based on price)

I got these of my girlfriend for xmas,if you want to keep your ears warm then buy these.if you want to listen to anything stay clear. The reception is terrible.Constant hissing in background, like a bad radio station. If you walk around the house you are forever re-tuning to try and stop the background noise. The tone is very bassy, and echoi.I havn't tested fabled 100m range'I darn't,too upsetting. They should be free in crackers, but there not so there going back tomorrow.

Waste of wire and plastic. I wouldnt use these if they were free.,

(1 out of 5) by Mrs. C. Harris on Nov 29, 2006
I just bought these for £16 at tesco's and I'm taking them back.

Sound quality terrible, Hissy and too much base.
Sound levels rise and fall every 5-10 seconds very annoying .
Constant hiss in the background even when within 3 feet of transmitter.
Signal strength is terrible, Signal starts cutting out and out as I walk around the house. This hiss is loud and overwhelms the sound. Similar to when a radio station is being tuned.
These are an awful pair of headphones at £[...] so at over £[...] then forget it. I cant even say that I was expecting too much especially for under £[...], well, I did expect at least a tiny bit of functionality, not this rubbish.

Good Points. Tesco will give me a refund.

Bad points. Everything else.

0/10 , Pity it wont let you give a zero.

Seriously, don't waste your money.

Unfortunately, I read the reviews after I'd picked a pair of these up but I'll be returning them to the store tomorrow. The other reviewers have covered the numerous problems but from from my own experience;

Sound quality is awful. There is a permanent hiss no matter what I try. Swapped between all 3 available channels, moved the sender as far as I can from any possible source of electrical interference but sadly, no improvement. If by some miracle you manage to get them tuned in so the sound is passable, merely moving your head slightly will ruin the sound again and you're back to hiss land.

Bass is very muffled which is unfortunate as bass seems to be all these headphones produce. I tried several audio sources but midrange and highend are practically non existent. It sounds like you're listening to something on the other side of a window.

I've just ordered some corded Sennheisers until I get chance to try out the RS130 or RS140s.

Save your money and avoid these truly awful headphones like the plague!

Good quality and comfortable fit on the head and ear.
No problem with the range, can walk around house and garden with no loss of sound.
