Funky design, poor functionality

(1 out of 5) by alf on Oct 13, 2007
I purchased the twin pack of this phone for 3 reasons: the built in answerphone, the sleek modern design, and the hands free capability.
The phones are great to look at and don't need a lot of space however the answer machine appears to only randomly takes messages (or cuts the caller halfway through leaving a message) and the speaker phone is near useless with neither party being able to hear much of what the other one says. Sound quality is also poor with lots of backgound hissing and whistles.
I've had my phones for less than 6 months and am alreay looking for replacments.
The reason for 1 star? Funky design, but pretty hopeless for everything else.

Battery life terrible

(1 out of 5) by B. Smith on Feb 13, 2009 (York UK)
It looks good but voice quality bad, people have trouble hearing you. The battery is fine for first 12 months then it is terrible, doesnt charge at all and of course you cant get hold of another battery to replace the old one!

No problems at all

(5 out of 5) by Bibliophile on Jan 30, 2008 (London - the one in England)
I don't know if the previous reviewers had faulty phones but I've had no problems whatsoever. They look great, the functions (although you do have to read the manual carefully) all work perfectly, and I've had no trouble with the sound quality or any other disappointments.
I'm very happy with my purchase.

Utter rubbish

(1 out of 5) by A. North on Dec 10, 2007 (Reading, Berkshire United Kingdom)
Bought the twin pack to replace an aging BT DECT system. Looks nice which is the only thing about this system that is good! Phonebook is seperate between the two handsets which means that you have to enter each phone number and name twice. Answer phone only seems to work when the caller hangs up so you mostly keep getting long beeps instead of recorded messages. I could, however, just about live with these two problems but I cannot live with the way this phone just rings randomly at any time of the day or night. It rings 3 times then stops then a couple of minutes later it rings again and again and then stops. It also does that when you've just finished a call. Rubbish utter rubbish. I can not in any way recommend this phone and am looking for a replacement and not from iDect or Binatone! The only reason this has 1 star is that I can't give it 0 stars. Do yourself a favour and get something else.

We've had this phone for less than a year and we're already buying a new one, poor functionality, answering machine useless as you can't see ne messages and never indicates time and date. Don't buy this phone...
