A bargain !
I read the other reviews before buying it. I think it represents excellent value for money. The DAB is crystal clear and the CD sound quality is excellent. If you are looking for a reasonably priced or cheap hi-fi I would go the extra few quid and get this one.My sister has one as well and she's equally pleased with it.

Fantastic Value
Bought this to replace a 10-year-old Sony micro system whose CD player was getting rather temperamental, but otherwise was very dependable. Couldn't have chosen a better replacement for the money, especially considering that Amazon is currently offering the EH20DAB at a significantly lower price than anyone else.
Sound quality is excellent for such an inexpensive package, whether on CD, tape, DAB or FM, and though 5W per channel may not sound much, it's plenty for normal room listening. I've picked up loads of DAB stations (more than the number of presets can store), and that's in an area of East Kent which is not supposed to be particularly good for digital reception. In fact I've got more to choose from than on my Genus CD/DAB Radio system that's located only yards away in the kitchen. The only minor gripe is that the controls for the cassette - at the bottom of the front panel and of the push rather than press down variety - are fiddly to use, but that's not a fighting point because I, and I suspect most other people, hardly ever play cassettes these days. Never liked the things anyway.
Really, if you want a generously specified system at an ultra-budget price, you can't go wrong with this Sony. A line-in so you can hook up, say, a turntable is a bonus to an already great deal. Highly recommended.

Fantastic little hi-fi
We bought this for my mum for christmas, as she has been wanting to replace her old hi-fi system for a couple of years. She has always been warey of the smaller compact systems, especially as she has alot of viynal that she wanted to use.
The sound on this system is fantastic, and it is very loud at full volume. DAB radio is fantastic, crystal clear all the time, and gives you access to BBC7 which has become a family favourite. With a CD player and a tape player (that we didn't realise it had at the time of purchase), it gives you everything you need to enjoy your music collection.
I would reccommed this to anyone!

Some way short of a bargain
I've had one of these for over 6 months now, paying £99 from Amazon. Overall, taking price into account, this machine does does have it's plus points, you get a DAB Tuner, FM Tuner, CD Player, Cassette Deck, and Speakers for less than £100. However, the build quality is a little flimsy, and there is only a 3 band pre programmed graphic Equaliser. There is a bass boost, but this just makes the Bass sound bloated and over emphazized. The speakers do sound better if you put spikes on them ( I know it sounds a bit strange doing this, these speakers are only about 6 inches tall but it does make a marked improvement in sound quality) or hang them on a wall. The speakers do go to full voulme without too much noticeable distortion. The speaker connection outputs on the machine are too small to allow any other speakers to be attached, and those that come with the unit are supplied with what is little more than bell wire as cable!! No wonder the sound is not that great...... Overall, it's ok to listen to in the kitchen when preparing a meal, or as light, low level background music, but if it's quality in build and sound you're after as opposed to features, this may not be quite the model for you....

Very disappointing quality
I was really looking forward to receiving this new CD / DB micro system, especially after reading the rave reviews. However, I have to say that the quality of the item is really really poor. Very cheap looking and not nearly as nice as the Goodmans system I bought for my daughter last year which was cheaper! The DAB works quite well, but the sound quality is also quite tinny. Im afraid I will be sending this back and ordering another Goodmans.
