OK - Now these are seriously good!
As others have said, you know you are getting something a bit different when you pick these fellows up. The two satellite speakers are not much bigger than a pack of Kellogs Variety Corn Flakes but weigh a ton. The sub is more the size of standard speaker.
But it's once you plug them into the computer the real fun starts!
I honestly could not believe the quality from these chaps (and I've got a pair of £800 Mission floor standing speakers attached to my beloved Audiolab 8000A).
Pound for Pound, this is the best £100 I've ever spent on HiFi equiptment ... and it's a British company too!
I'm off to buy more ....

Simply M-azing
Being the proud owner of a Squeezebox, I spent quite some time choosing a set of speakers to compliment it. After some time searching and browsing various forums and looking at numerous product reviews (including What Hi-Fi who give these five out of five stars and say that they are the best speakers for under £100 you could possibly buy) I knew that they were for me.
Upon receiving them, as others have said, I was pleasantly surprised by the weight and build quality. But, once I had connected them to my Squeezebox, surprise quickly turned to amazement - the sound quality is quite simply stunning. I am now listening to music in a different light, and am kicking myself for not getting these sooner.
The bass from the subwoofer (about the size of a 'normal' speaker) is excellent on setting 1, setting 2 is for serious bass-heads (or people who enjoy annoying neighbours) and setting 3 means you can watch much loved ornaments bouncing themselves to an early grave whilst holding your hands over your ears (although at least you cannot hear the neighbours banging on the wall which is a blessing)!
The treble and mid range are pumped out from tiny speakers (as stated in other reviews not much bigger than a bag of sugar) but what great sound they pump out - clarity is truly stunning.
If you want a set of speakers for under £100 then there are loads out there, but if you want a set of speakers that sound stunning then regardless of your budget it is worth considering these - they are definitely up there with the big boys and at a fraction of the price.

Awesome addition to your Mac / PC / Music workstation
These are a serious piece of kit from a genuine hi-fi company. The sub is plenty powerful and the satellite speakers are built like tanks (and weight about the same as a bag of sugar each - no lightweight palstics here). Half decent cables come with the speakers and you can have it up and running in minutes. Itunes never sounded so good.
It's pointless trying to describe the sound of these - just get em! The also work a treat as tiny monitors connected to my Yamaha Motif and sound superb.
For this price they are an absolute steal. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Fill your boots!!

Real stuff!
As the previous guys said - very nice speakers in bargain price, the longer I am listening to them the better they seem to sound to me. Highly recomendable!

All of the above ...But
I left my Altec Lansing MX5021's in France which as well as a remote for
bass, treble and volume has a little box that sits on your desk that performs the same functions as the remote. So u can adjust the bass from zero bass to maximum to mid bass in a flash. The sound quality of these speakers are fabulous and will handle all genres with alacrity. It was the sales assistant that persuaded me to order the AE's - and the reviews here.
The bass settings on the AE's are at the back of the bass unit which is not so conveniently accessible. As one reviewer above said, setting 3 is for bass heads, even setting 2 is more than enough [for me]. But even on setting 1 I sometimes have to stop a track to stop my neighbours wall caving in. Its this lack of control over the bass settings that have led me to return the speakers and re buy the AL's which I shud have done in the first place. The AE's come with a load of other wiring that was totally redundant [to me]. I'd have rather not have the superfluous wiring
and pay another tenner to have the same flexibility of sound control that I have with the AL's. Sonically they are similar but I get a little more
definition at the mid ranges with the AL's.
