I have since heard from many people that they have had a simular experience. I've now spent the extra money and have bought one of quality. we live and learn.
There's a reason why its cheap

Nothing but low quality sounds came out, the kind of sounds you get when you turn the music up too loud and the bass goes all fuzzy. No matter how quiet i turned it down, there was nothing but poor quality fuzzy sounds.

The sound quality is poor, and unbearable if the song has a bit of extra bass and in general there is a background buzzing noise which is very annoying on every song I have tried out!
