I bought this camera for my wife for a short break to Skye. She can't be bothered with fancy gizmos as she puts it and just wanted a point and press job.
This was very simple and tokk very clear pictures for our purposes as we didn't want to blow any up to art gallery size.
It was a refurb item but at the price it was a true bargain. I think Fuji make excellent cameras anyway so I might be being biased, irrespective of that it is a great bit of a kit to stick in your pocket!

A superb, no fuss, beginners camera!
We've been threatening to get our first digital camera for years and having seen the benefits of 5MP resolution upwards, we were contemplating spending around £100 for one, 6MP being all we need at present.
This technology is still advancing regarding features/resolution per retail price, but when we saw this camera locally at a cheap £49 we decided to jump in and buy one, together with a small memory card (128Mb), which is enough for our starter needs (78 frames approx).
So far, we're delighted with this little camera. It's almost too small for larger male hands, but my wife loves it, as it can be put in a handbag without taking up much space. The picture quality seems excellent for non demanding snapshots too and the auto function copes well with most lighting conditions, only the trickiest shots needing manual adjustment.
The first batch of photos were easily transferred to my PC, using the Windows camera wizard and were automatically saved as "JPEGS" - I need to know whether I specified this file format previously or not, as a larger file (TIFF) may give better results (I'm still very new at this). The next batch I'll use the Fuji FinePix software supplied on CD with the camera and see what happens.
I appreciate that photo enthusiasts wouldn't even look at a camera such as this one, but for ordinary people who want good basic pictures with the minimum of fuss, I'd recommend it highly - just point and shoot!

Great Beginner Camera for price
A few friends were looking for digital cameras under £100. I read reviews elsewhere and recommended/purchased Fuji A600 for them. They were thrilled and love it as their first digi camera, by using the auto settings.
I've always loved fuji cameras ease of use and photo quality. at 6MP you get good printouts. Got the XD picture card from amazon at excellent price too!

Exellent Fuji A600
This is a first class small camera,Ideal for people who Just want to take pictures with out having to set any controls. A very large and clear LCD screen with very good Clarity. I have taken a few Macro pictures and the definition was great. Its worth spending a few extra pounds on a Fuji XD picture card from Pixmania uk. I bought the 1Gb,so i had know worries about running out of space while away on Holiday. Well Done Fuji.
