VERY PLEASED

(5 out of 5) by G. Bright on Mar 22, 2008 (Cheshire, England)
Having recently purchased a BT system that did not work with wireless broadband I was very sceptical regarding the good reviews on the Panasonic phones.

However they are everything claimed in the other reports. They are easy to setup and transfer phonebook entries, either one at a time or the whole thing in one go.

The orange light does not cause me a problem, if it does for you then take it out of the charger and it goes off.

Excellent reception on the handsets and you can use them whilst also using the internet.

They also have a good selection of ring tones, unlike the BT ones.

excellent

(5 out of 5) by Chris B on Mar 3, 2008 (uk)
I was unfortunate enough to have bought a far more expensive bt verve phone from a shop and couldn't stand it anymore - absolutely useless.

I bought the Panasonic based on the reviews on this site.

It is excellent - easy to use and set up, excellent hands free - very clear at both ends. Basically, everything you could want from a phone of this type at a good price.

Excellent product

(5 out of 5) by Brian D. Mitchell on Dec 11, 2007 (Livingston, Scotland)
I ordered this product on Sat 8 Dec 07 and it was delivered Tue 11 Dec 07. Prompt and first class service. The phone its-self, as all ready stated is easy to set up and has plenty of functions to suit all the household. I would recommend this Panasonic unit.

2 important missing features for me, otherwise great

(4 out of 5) by Margaret Price on Nov 14, 2007 (West Wales)
I totally agree with all the previous reviews except for 2 missing features - you cannot lock the keypad (essential when you spend a lot of time outside and need to put it in your pocket) and the time and date does not set and update itself automatically when you receive a call (if it has been lost due to a power-cut etc). Also the belt-clip is an extra. The 8090E model has both these features and has a belt clip. Otherwise an excellent phone with very clear speech quality and easy to read screen.

Panasonic cordless phone

(4 out of 5) by I. Brooks on Oct 25, 2007 (Bolton, Lancashire, UK)
Some good features (eg the ability to copy phone book entries between handsets, easy transferring of calls between handsets). Some of the options, eg accessing the address book or listening to messages involve going into the menu system which wasn't necessary on the phones these replaced. I suspect the phone book won't be big enough for some people (50 entries) but is more than adequate for us.

The biggest disadvantaqe is that my wife gets popping in her ears every time she uses these phones, which apparently is most uncomfortable! This appears to be unique to this device - she doesn't have this problem with other wireless devices we have.
