Quality Product

(5 out of 5) by O. Southern on Aug 30, 2006
I bought this phone 6 months ago now as i was looking for a stylish phone with reasonable functionality that wouldn't cost the earth. Before i even opened the box it was clear that motorola were gearing it towards the fashion conscious as it was packed in very sleek silver box with a window showing the phone.

I previously owned the sony ericsson k700i but got used to the v3 very quickly. The menus are logically laid out, it has bluetooth and a reasonable (but not exceptional) vga camera. I was a little worried about the keypad before i received the phone as i thought that the keys were going to be hard to press as the were'nt raised however this didn't turn out to be a problem. The keys feel fine to press and they are a reasonable size for big fingers.

The phone definitely looks the part and the thin shape hasn't sacrificed build quality. The phone feels very solid. The phone holds signal well and the built in handsfree speaker is loud and clear.

I can imagine for some that the 7mb of memory would be too small if you wanted to play mp3s or watch videos. But as i do neither i on the phone i did'nt find this to be a problem.

Overall this is excellent phone with great asthetics backed up by a number of great features.

Motorola V3

(2 out of 5) by G. A. Barry on Dec 26, 2006 (Yorkshire, England)
After purchasing the motorola V3 I was extremely unimpressed with the results. It's buttons are not only hard to press and the carmera equally poor but the video link on multimedia is virtually useless as you cannot take videos. When wanting to send items via bluetooth the V3 cannot be picked up by other phones for more than 60 seconds. The storage on the phone is very very low and can only store around one song. The message tone (and missed call tone) is very annoying and cannot be changed, it continuously bleeps with a piercing noise once every minute if it is not answered. I'll be glad when I get my new mobile phone in the new year.

A FLASH PHONE TO SHOW OFF WITH !.

(3 out of 5) by NEO on Jan 10, 2008 (orpington kent)
I must confess that I'm not a big mobile user but I love gadgets and this phone ticks most of the boxes. If your after a well made good looking resonably compact mobile phone this is the one. It has a decent 1.2Mp camera with video capability a bluetooth connection. SMS messaging with a great looking large 2 inch TFT LCd screen that's easy to read and use. I also like the laser cut metal keys that are big enough to use everday for texting. Another nice touch is the clamshell design but as my handset is second-hand it's a little creaky to use !. Ommisions are an FM radio and MP3 which is a great shame as I would have given this phone a full 5 star rating. I will replace the L-Ion battery soon as the standard one's charge is poor. But all in all this is a great handset that has easy to use menus which is customisable.

Looks nice - awful battery life.

(2 out of 5) by D. J. Moore on Jul 24, 2006 (UK)
Beware if you are thinking of buying any of the motorola Razr's.
They look good and feel nice.Sensible menu for most things however the battery life is nothing short of hopeless! If you dont use the phone expect 3 days, actually make a call and see it disappear before your eyes. Daily charge being required if you make any calls. One other gripe is the key pad, it looks nice but the numbers are very difficult to see unless light is perfect!

Sophisticated and easy to use phone

(5 out of 5) by Angel on May 9, 2007 (Kent)
I received my Motorola today - and I have to say that it is a joy to own (Nokia owner formerly) - the keys are easy to use despite not being raised (I thought I would have a problem with my long nails, but no - it is great!). A very tactile and beautiful phone - I absolutely love it. I think I will be a Motorola convert from this point on!

One other point - my thanks to Amazon (direct supplier) who have always delivered bang on time with every order I have placed and are 100% reliable.
