great DVD
(5 out of 5) by James Gare on Mar 5, 2008 (UK)I have to say that the DVD player arrived in 48 hours (thank you Amazon) and the player was multi player enabled as soon as I got it out of the box (no fiddling with codes as per Leon's review) - Handles DVIX files with ease - I am very pleased.

Amazing

Plays all DVD's to a very high level to skipping or pausing. Plays all Divx files Hassle free. If you're looking to buy DVD /Divx player I highly recommend this.
Only thing that I would say, its more cosmetic than anything, this that the DVD player is black but the remote that you get with it is beige, which they sort of clashed. Would have liked it the same colour. But neither the less it's a fantastic DVD player!

confusing region 2 sticker
(4 out of 5) by Tracy stone on Apr 18, 2008 (Essex,England)i'm happy with this great value little dvd player, i received it four days after I ordered it,which is really great and it plays my region 1 dvds,with no problem.it's neat too,so, if you're a bit short of room it's ideal.I suppose the one thing that was confusing when I opened my parcel,my dvd player has a region 2 sticker on the back,so i thought it woud'nt work with my region1 imports but it does.

Great Little Player

* It's very quiet in operation
* The remote control is responsive, easy to use and operates my Sony Bravia TV too
* It remembers where it was in the movie when you turn it off
* It has a cool up-to-1.4x speed-up function which digitally speeds up the picture and sound, allowing you to get through slow bits quicker without missing dialogue
* It plays DivX

Break the Regional Barriers

A Sony DVD multi-region DVD player at this price is a great bargain. It plays region 1 and 2 (and others too) without any hassle. You don't have to enter any code to trigger it's multi-region capability. It will automatically play all the DVD's irrespective of their region. Apart from that, it contains all the standard DVD features. Please note, there's a Region 2 tag on the DVD and the documentation states it can only play region 2 DVDs, but that's a mistake (as mentioned in the product details). It plays all the regions. I repeat, it's a multi-region DVD player. Don't let that error mislead you.
