Rebadged pentax will force down prices - oh and it's ace!

As for the camera - yes it's a pentax DL2 - end of story. Ok they might have tweaked the firmware - that's been suggested elsewhere - but it's a proper pukka pentax for (if you hunt around) half the dosh. I got one with the 18-55 and 50-200 zoom lenses thrown in for under £400 (Lenses are badged schneider, but unmistakably are the same as the DL's). Yes Amazon - come on and pull your socks up and lets not have others having to trawl the web endlessly to get a deal on this cracker of a camera.
DSLR pricing may at last be coming of age...

Great Camera

Essentially a rebadged Pentax *iSt D series, so there is a good range of high quality interchangeable lenses and other accessories available. Aims at people (like me) stepping up to Digital SLR from compacts but will no doubt also appeal to enthusiasts on a budget as there's plenty in terms of manual override available. Bang to Bucks ratio is unbeatable at present as far as I can see on the web - (If you shop around for a better price - You may find it considerably cheaper elsewhere....I opted for the slightly higher spec'd GX-1S that also included a 55-200mm lens in full UK spec for MUCH less than advertised here!) Hey,Come on Amazon UK, you normally do better than this!!
