I bought this television in October 2006 - because it looked good (neat and just the right size for what I needed), and had excellent sound and vision. But yesterday, in April 2009, it stopped working. I have sound - but only a black screen - not even a flicker of life. It still looks like new (but then again, in my opinion it still is) - it just doesn't work! My search on the JVC website for a list of approved service/repair centres was futile as they don't as yet provide a list. Obviously I'm out of the warranty period, and I didn't buy an extended warranty as surely televisions last longer than 2 1/2 years????!! So - bottom line - I won't be buying another JVC.

We bought this for our bedroom and it is fantastic! Picture and sound quality are stunning and it looks good too. I've just noticed that the price has come down since I bought it. I paid a lot more a few months ago. If you use this with an upscaling DVD player with HDMI connections the picture is even more amazing. My only minor complaint is that I don't like the remote very much, I haven't quite figured out navigating round all the functions, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. If you're looking for a 26" LCD with freeview I would highly recommend this.
