Fantastic presenter
I've had a couple of presenters in the past which have, frankly, been disappointing.
I was a little concerned on purchasing this one as frankly it looked a bit bulky and '70's TV remote' esque. However, I have several logitech devices all of which have been excellent.
Sure enough when this arrived I realised how much of an injustice the photos do to this product. It's a little longer than my palm, and very comfortable to use. The laser pointer is sharp and bright, and the slide controls work cleanly.
The really nice feature is the timer which you can set at any 5 minute increment you like. It's very reassuring during a long presentation to have a countdown sat there in your hand to check upon, as well as the brilliant 5 min, 2min and 'times up' vibrate alerts you get.
My only tiny quibble is that occasionally I hit the laser pointer button instead of the slide advance button (or vica versa), but thats probably as much to do with my hamfistedness as much as anything else.
I've used this on loads of computers now without any compatibility issues at all, and the batteries last for ages.
Recommended for anyone needing a remote presenter.

just the job
An excellent piece of kit. Simple and comfortable to use. It takes two AAA batteries, which makes it a little heavier than presenters driven by calculator-type batteries - but still only weighs 65g in all. Also the whole package is nicely compact; the dongle parks within the handset itself which then fits securely into a neat fabric case. I As far as I can tell the only difference between this and the more expensive version is that the latter is billed as working for mac as well as pc.

Top Presenter
I am an experienced presenter of formal lectures, papers and seminars. This Logitech presenter is brilliant and I cant fault it. My presentations are often complex and this device gives me finger tip control over what is on the screen. The vibrating timer is an invaluable cu to start wrapping things up without apparent haste. I strongly recommend buying ones own such device for anyone who uses Powerpoint regularly. However, it requires the owner to practice and become skilled in pointing the laser at the right point on the screen!

First rate piece of kit
I have used many different remote presenters and settled on the Logitech brand based on positive feedback from conference venues. The Logitech fits comfortably in the hand and is a sensible size - many are too small and fiddly. The device is easy to install and use. I found that my fingers naturally fall to the advance/return buttons and all controls are designed so you can identify them easily by touch and without having to look at the device. The laser pointer is excellent and the timer a useful addition that is very straight forward to programme. The device comes in a smart velcro fastened case and the USB transmitter snaps inside the controller making it ideal for slipping in a laptop bag and transporting around. If you're looking for a simple to use, practical and functional remote device to enhance PowerPoint presenting, look no further!

The Best Presentation Tool Available
I work as a trainer and spend a lot of my time in front of PowerPoint presentations, and as a result have reviewed pretty much every presenter tool I've been able to find. The Logitech presenter is the best I have found by a sizeable margin, and a lot of its appeal is down to its simplicity and usability.
The batteries last for ages, it fits comfortably in your hand and has a good range (I've presented from all around rooms of more than 100 people and never once lost a connection) and most importantly it has buttons for all key presenter tasks. It has buttons for Next and Previous, F5 and Esc and the all important B (black) button, along with a laser pointer for highlighting key points during your presentation. The USB connector slides into the unit itself when not in use, which is a very useful feature.
I've seen lots of people waxing lyrically about the vibrating timer, although I've never found it useful, primarily as I always seem to be able to see a clock when presenting, but it's a nice idea anyway.
The one thing I'd suggest is that you look after it - I'm now on my third because the two previous ones have been 'borrowed' by impressed colleagues.
If you're a presenter, then buy one.
