Most unreliable piece of Junki have bought from Amazon

(1 out of 5) by B. Davison on Jan 23, 2009 (London UK)
I bought this as an upgrade to my 1.1 adapter which was slow but reliable. So long as I was in the house Nokia PC suite could synch, and whenever I was at my desk I could type my messages , download photos etc.
This offered to do the same only faster. It has never worked properly.
When the computer and the phone are both freshly booted it can connect for a while, then drops it. Sometimes it's long enough to do what I need, often not. If the computer has hibernated since last use, or it has simply been more than a couple of hours then forget it - full reboot of both before they will connect.
I have re-installed the software (the only advice the manufacturers can give) re-installed PC suite. tried it with other devices (eg palm) and it is the same in every case.
After months of grief and effort I plugged in the old one and it was perfect (just slow getting pictures etc).
It's in the bin now - I would not sell it on as I would just get agro and negative feedback.
If you want bluetooth 2.0 dont buy a Belkin!!!

Works fine with Vista + Motorola V500

(5 out of 5) by J. J. N. Locke on Jan 16, 2008 (Oswestry, UK)
I installed the software on my laptop, which runs Vista. The paper instructions that came with the dongle didn't cover Vista, but putting the CD in gave me a menu, with one entry to read the Vista instructions, which I did.

I installed, discovered my phone, and it all "just worked". I'm now able to synchronise stuff with the phone, send SMS messages from the laptop, and use the phone as a modem to connect the laptop to the Internet. I can probably copy music and pictures on and off the phone too (but I haven't tried yet).

I clicked on the "Check for Updates" button on the CAMagic software, but the updates didn't work ("Failed to connect to Internet!!"). I went to the CAMagic web site and sent in a support request. They replied the same day saying there was a problem at their end, and again about 4 hours later to say they had fixed it - the update then worked, and the software upgraded itself - I now have two-way contact sync, apparently.

I'm happy with the hardware, and very impressed with CAMagic's software support.

Disappointing - chucked it!

(1 out of 5) by G. Hobbs on Jan 12, 2007 (UK)
I had major problems after installing this adapter and its associated software under Windows 2000 Professional.

Firstly, whenever the adapter was already plugged into my PC at the point of switching on, the PC would always do a full memory check before booting. With 1.5Gb of RAM this is a long process!

Secondly, for some reason the logoff process took considerably longer whilst I had these drivers installed, even without the adapter plugged in. The "saving your settings" dialog would be visible for several minutes before the logoff was completed. After uninstalling the software, everything returned to normal.

Not impressed, no longer using it!

Couldn't make it work

(1 out of 5) by Hisaver11 on Jun 3, 2007 (UK)
I know it's not equipment fault. But somehow I could not make it work with my T-mobile MDA and use it for active sync.Inspite of having good experience and technosavvy attitude I failed to make it detect my mobile. These drivers simply do not work with XP or MDA. I tried lot of forums but atlast gave up and returned it.waiting for refund yet.
