Fantastic little camera!

(4 out of 5) by M. Hope on Dec 24, 2006 (UK)
Had this camera for a year now, I bought it for my wife for Christmas last year.
It's a great little camera, takes great photos, is easy to use and slips in your pocket if required.
Only negative is the difficulty in composing the picture in sunlight without a viewfinder.
If you are traveling, buy a spare battery.
Definitely recommend and I paid twice this price in PC world.

Unbelievable value for money

(5 out of 5) by Michael John on Dec 29, 2006 (High Wycombe, Bucks)
I bought a F460 some time ago for £199.99 - and thought this little camera was great value. I can't believe Amazon are selling it so cheaply - buy it while you can!

It's small, with a good screen and delivers great pictures. It hasn't let me down once. Two things you'll get with this that are a real benefit (especially at this price!) is a lithium-ion battery plus charger AND a movie mode at 30 frames per second at full resolution. Impossible to get these features with other cameras at this price. Could this price be a mistake?!!

great little camera

(5 out of 5) by Bos29 on Jan 13, 2007 (england)
i got the pack with in a few days of ordering it and couldnt believe how small it was!! the back is pretty much just a screen and t a few simple buttons. optical zoom is good and once the digital zoom is turned on you can zoom in more. do not be fooled by the picture on the screen as once taken it is great quality. the auto setting is great if you just want to take simple pictures and the manuel part is great for fiddiling around to take a variety of differnt pictures.the flash does the job well and the image quality is great. definently recemended to get an extra battery and a large capacity card is you are going to use it to film. the film option is great with 30 fps and television cameras use 24!! the obly negatives are sometimes wen you hold the camera you might slide open the battery cover but thts no bigy!
defintly recomended i was tempted to get the nikon coolpix L3/4/2 but was put off by the long shutter lag and the powershot a530 but was put off by the large sieze and that it used aa batteries.

Has Performed Very Well

(5 out of 5) by Tessie Clarke on Dec 29, 2006 (Beaconsfield)
For value for money, this camera can't be beaten. Like the others, I bought this camera at a much higher price and was very pleased with it.

It looks good with its metal shell (I hate plastic shell cameras). Also, its rechargeable battery and in-box charger will save you a fortune in AA throwaways.

Picture quality is very good. I've taken loads of pictures this Christmas and they've come out really well.

I just wished I'd bought it at this silly price!

Fantastic photos

I've never had a Fugi before but now reckon I'm hooked on Fugi cameras for life. The camera has lots of manual features, but takes fantastic shots, even of blazing sunsets, just on automatic setting. One gripe is that I'm a clumbsy photographer and these little cameras don't like hand shake as there is an interval between pressing the button and actually taking the photo. I find it best to take macro shots with a tripod. Another gripe, a feature of most mini digital cameras, is that the rear viewer often becomes entirely useless under direct sunlight, you just can't see what you are trying to photograph. I understand it is possible to buy a shield-like surround, but I haven't tried that yet.
