Simply Amazing

(5 out of 5) by Mr. P. E. Harrington on Apr 18, 2006
Not sure what the reviewer above is talking about, I've used my Powerbook for everything from recording a full orchestra (using an external soundcard), word processing, presentations, chatting with friends around ther world with iChat etc etc and havent had a single problem, not even one crash in over a year of use.

Until you have experienced a mac, you really havent lived, the first time I got one I was furious that I'd put up with the utter rubbish which is Windows for so long. Mac's are an utter joy to use, and they really do help organise your life with great programs like iCal and address book.

Tech spec wise, this model is very fast, has enough memory for any application unless you're doing serious gaming or audio recording, a screen so bright and clear you could swear magic was involved, and the integral wireless networking is a dream.

Don't listen to the misinformed guy above, buy one today, or even better, but one with the new intel processors, super duper fast!

Gorgeous but Flawed

(3 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 2, 2006
A fantastic machine in concept, and as the last ever PowerBook this really is the 'ultimate' incarnation of one of the worlds best laptops.
Sadly, however, it should be avoided at all costs because this latest Hi-Resolution version is a flawed design. A quick search on the net will reveal numerous known problems including screen display issues and an unavoidable audio looping/feedback problem. This is a real shame because they are great Pro machines but can not be trusted in this environment. do a google. Shame. Take the risk only if you really need it until Apple can come up with a solution.
