Jabra no return

(1 out of 5) by Thomas Fegan on May 3, 2009 (northern ireland)
I recently received the Jabra SP500 Speakerphone, which was faulty. I returned it, called the telephone number, left a message and have received no reply, replacement or refund. As I explained that I needed a quick response as I need the device for my work, I even authorised them to debit my card a second time until the refund was sorted, but even this elicited no response. I would like my money back, but they havent responded in over 3 weeks. Beware.

Really good, make sure you charge it

Very good, clear sound, volume goes very loud. Keep in-car charger in car as battery does run out, and there is no warning noises, it literally cuts out, which is about its only downfall. Great value, does its job.

Does what it says - very well

(5 out of 5) by M. Khimani on Apr 14, 2008 (Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire United Kingdom)
I was deliberating over this cheap option and that to have a hands free kit fitted that interfaces with the stereo. I'm glad I got the Jabra. It worked first time, pairing with my Nokia 6021 and with which voice dialling works great. It remains permanently on my sun-visor - mor or less out of site - automatically pairs with my mobile as I get in and, though speaker quality is not the best, converts my car into an effective mobile office. Big plus for me is portability between cars and also to use in the office or house as a speaker phone and for conference call. OK it's a just a bit bulky for when you want to use your sun-visor, but the clip is easy to change from one side to the other. Boom microphone, mute function and volume control make this fit for purpose without all the bells and whistles which aren't needed. Can't believe how cheap it's become. It's because it's so affordable it gets 5 stars for value for money.

Doesn't work for me

Grim, grim, grim...... I spend most of my time with this shouting "can you hear me ?". Received sound is clear and loud, but the sound pick-up just doesn't work for me. I've tried various positions in the car, and even out of the car - no luck. It could be poor interaction with my phone (iphone), but either way, its heading for the bin 1 week after purchase.

Jabra SP500 much better than my expectation

(4 out of 5) by L. Warder on Oct 24, 2007 (Southern England)
I ordered this unit as I was fed up with sore ears from the bluetooth headset. I was expecting poor quality sound and feedback, I was wrong!

The unit is a little bulky but sits out of my line of vision on the sun visor, the suction cups on the windsreen mount would not stick no matter how hard I tried but I am not that bothered. The pairing and connection were effortless, instructions simple so all in all I am very pleased with the product. I am now ordering one for my boss for use on his business trips.
