Great performance for the price

(5 out of 5) by C. Tuff on Oct 28, 2007 (UK)
I bought this item from Richer Sounds high street stores for £20.

Having previously considered the Bose docking station for £200, I decided for my bedroom I would give this item a go since it was so inexpensive.

I have been mightly impressed. Something you must remember is, generally, the music on your ipod is going to be in mp3 format, which is lossy anyway. You will never achieve CD quality sound from ANY docking station.

I rip my music at 192kbps mp3, and in my room the sound is fine. You will never be able to entertain a party of people with this, however as an alternative to your laptop speakers for general day-to-day use, it's perfect. Bass is fine (having heard bad things of the bass).

I thoroughly recommend this item.

excellent item

This speaker system has the best sound for using with the ipod that i have ever heard, excellent multi directional flat panel speakers which are only let down by the fact there is no remote control for the system hence the 4 not 5 stars.

happy pod!

(4 out of 5) by N. Lewis on Apr 4, 2007 (west midlands,UK)
I purchased this item with doubts at sound quality. However, sound quality is spot on and I am extremely happy with this speaker system, the only reason for 4 out of 5 instead of 5 out of 5 is the absence of a remote control, but this is not the end of the world, the alarm clock option is a nice touch too.
I'm so pleased that I have found a nice sounding, affordable system for my ipod.

One of the best in this price range.....

(4 out of 5) by EJ on Aug 4, 2007 (UK)
This is a nice affordable piece of kit. Considering this is Under £30 it is worth every penny, I also have the Bose Docking system which is about £200 more than the Kensington System, and there really is not much difference between the too. The Kensington has enough sound and bass to enjoy in the lagest of rooms.

Hey ive just purchased myself one of these speakers after reading a few reviews on its quality and i can honestly say the sound quality is fantastic...again i was going to give this item a 4star rating but I decided not to because i found it for just £20 at richersounds!!! and for the that reason and its pure quality i can give it nothing less than 5 stars! great buy, If your thinking of getting one i would head over to richersounds and pick one up :D
