Super duper

(5 out of 5) by R. Patel on Aug 22, 2006 (Texas)
Firstly just a comment to the person who is tryingthe bluetooth on this MP800, this does not work. It only allows bluetooth transfers via phone etc. It is not bluetooth connectivity like the Pixma MP800R model which has wireless connectivity.

Anyway, just ordered this fabulous kit. excellent piece of kit for the money, results are smashing and the high rersolution scanner is excellent. I had a Epson all-in-one and this is the Ferrari of the models it is fast, superb results and ink just lasts forever(well very good for the amount of prints I've developed). The 35mm adaptor has allowed me to process my fathers old 1940's prints. Just a gem for the price, I've not had to goto Jessops to get my photo's developed for a few months now.

This product does what it says on the tin. It is truley the all-in-one photo lab, period!

Wonderful

(5 out of 5) by Ms. Dawn L. Maddock on Sep 12, 2006 (UK)
I have just recently received this printer. It was easy to instal, and I am finding equally easy to use. The print quality is superb, and the two paper trays make it handy to leave both normal and photo paper in place.

The only niggle, and its only a small niggle, is that it does not come with a usb cable.

Great when working but recurring problem with print head

(3 out of 5) by F. Rivaz on Sep 22, 2006 (London)
I have been very pleased with the ease at which this printer produces photographs, copies and prints direct from applications such as Word or Excel. However from time to time it shows an error - incorrect print head. When this happens, I have to remove the print head and then put it straight back. It then works for another 10 days or so. If it were not for this problem, I would give it 5 stars. I don't know if this is a unique problem.

Canon Pixma MP800

(2 out of 5) by Mr. P. Webb on Jul 24, 2006 (London UK)
The first one did not work at all and was replaced through Amazon. Ther appeared to be no Canon help line to contact & no phone numbers available. The replacement machine worked ok, although the supplied printed instructions are poor.
Whilst the copy quality is good, it is slow to get going. For copying b & W items, it tends to be too dark and settings need altering. The worst point is the annoying, time wasting feature giving at least a week's notice of a cartridge needing replacement, this has to be cancelled at every copy. The replacement cartridges are expensive and have an easily broken tag, if removed by mistake, they are useless.
This was purchased as a previous Canon printer had been reliable and economical, the MP800 has not been a worthy successor.

Bluetooth where are you?

(4 out of 5) by Blue Blue Tooth on Jul 24, 2006 (UK)
I have the printer. I have the Mac. They both have Bluetooth facility. Why can't they find each other?

I must have missed an important but small step in the set up 'cos my Mac says the printer isn't 'discoverable'.

It would be really useful if the information that came with the printer said something about Bluetooth that would help the non- technos among us get it right.

Please someone post a review with 'how you did it'.

I am certain the printer is going to be spectacular then.
