Having thoroughly researched the market for a quality Ink-Jet Printer i came across a review for the Canon Pixma MP800 which gave this printer 5 stars and a glowing report. As a proffesional designer I needed a printer that was going to do everything i needed for my home studio- i can safely say that the Canon does this and more. The scan quality is on par with with a £3000 scanner i have in my work studio and the print results are fantastic.....add to this all the extras and you can't go wrong.

This is a great printer. Very quick. You can print wirelessly using a bluetooth adapter attached to the picbridge port. Canon sells their own(BTU-20) for about £70 and its 10 meters in range. I plugged in a generic 100 meter bluetooth adapter into this printer and another one into my computer's usb port and I could print straightaway from 30 meters away ! But you cannot scan through bluetooth.
Cons : No direct fax, slightly bulky
I would recommend this to anyone considering purchasing a new all in one printer.

compared to the last 3 in 1 product, the EPSON RX700, which I had the misfortune to purchase and never worked; this Canon PIXMA MP800 is not only far superior in all respect but at almost half the price compared to my old Epson it's steal. I have found the copying and scannig to be of the highest, almost professional, quality. On scanning and printing the colours are a correct match! And the product is so very easy to use.

Only one draw back, wish the company had included the adaptor for the xd memeory card, which I have problem finding it in stores!

I wanted an all in one printer that was easy to use and this is definately it . After reading other reviews I brought the MP800 . I'd previously used a Canon IP3000 . It was so easy to install and simple to use I was amazed! Within minutes I was scanning,copying and printing. The scanner on this printer is superb. I've used it to copy photos that were over 50 years old and the quality is great!!!

The only down side I would say if any is the price of the ink cartridges but that goes with all cartridges and is not restricted to this printer.

If you are looking for a great all in one printer then this is definately the one! Especially if you want it for photos.

Well, where can I start?

This is by far and away the best printer I have ever used. I have never been so impressed by anything I have purchased for the computer. (Note: You do not need a PC, you can use this standalone)

First of all I will talk about speed and quality. The machine is lightning quick. From mouse click it only takes just over 30 seconds to print a standard 4x6 photo.

The quality is amazing. I though my old HP photosmart printer used to print well but you can clearly see the crisp glossy difference with this machine. If it is speed and quality you are after this is for you.

I am not usually a person who will buy a machine to do every job. I would have a seperate scanner etc.. I took a chance on this and I am glad I did. the scanner is excellent, very qick and easy to align. You can also do a multitude of extra things withthe scanner that most scanners do not offer.

You can print photograph negatives and positives with the film adapter built into the machine. You can also do the same with slides.

You can print directly onto printable CD's to make them look professional. The Printer comes complete with a special CD holder to put the CD through the machine.

You can feed paper in from the back or through a paper tray from the front. This is extremely handy if you regularly print in two different paper sizes.

The printer is even able to print T-Shirt transfers.

You can print directly from the memory card of your camera, virtually every memory card type is acceptable (even mini xd)and all instructions, processes or problems are clearly shown on the crystal clear 3.5inch display (which is also adjustable)

There are 5 print cartridges to the printer which (being canon) are reasonably priced. This is good because if you run down on one type of colour you do not have to replace the whole cartridge, just the one needed.

The printer is able to be used via bluetooth and is pictbridge enabled.

You can even print using the printer duplex meaning you can print documents on both sides of the paper, extremely useful when printing off manuals or booklets.

The printer also comes with all the different size paper and letter sizes marked onto the tray so there is no need to worry about how the paper should be positioned. Just insert it into the template.

The software that comes with the system is brilliant, is so simple to use, you wont have a problem with any feature of the printer.

There are a few downsides, but non of them should put you off buying this masterpiece.

You need to buy the memory card adaptor and PC USB cable seperatley.
The printer is rather bulky, but the stylish black shiny finish more than makes up for that.
I didnt find the enclosed instructions very easy to follow but the printer is so simple to set up and use straight away that I dont see this as much of a problem. The printers LCD screen also offers advice.

there are that many features with this machine im sure I have missed some out, I have not fully read through the manual yet so dont be suprised if this is better than my review makes out

Overall, this is the best printer I have ever used. I have seen some reviewers of this product say that the quality of print is on a par with some £3000 professional photo printers. I couldnt disagree with this

This is a real bargain. Dont look anywhere else or you will be disappointed
