You should buy it!
I wanted a small digital printer to work alongside my Sony W7 camera. There are a lot of such printers around but many of them are, well..., just so big. The CP710 is tiny!
You'll be amazed at the picture quality when you see the prints - equally as good as any you'd get from a High St processor. If you want the printer - buy it!

Canon Selphy Rocks!
I bought one of these mainly because I own a Canon Powershot Digital Camera and I wanted compatability. Got this and at the time Canon were running an offer where you got a FREE battery pack (worth [...]) with it. I set it up and plugged in my camera - the menu system was really easy to use and printing directly from the Camera allows cropping, adding dates, borders etc. The print quality is exceptional, the colours are absolutely spot on and the clear coat last pass gives a nice shiny protective finish. Since having the printer, I've also used it plugged directly into my PC and using the Canon software you can do a lot of different things with photos that all print out in the same quality. The battery pack is a nice touch as it allows you to take the printer with you to family events etc. and you can print out pictures for people a bit like a modern day "Poloroid". Big thumbs up from me - I would definately consider other Canon products and do reccomend them to anybody I know.

Think before you buy
I bought this for the wifes's birthday.
The Selphy now sits redundant in the desk drawer, because:
It is not user friendly.
It jams.
It requires a series of differnt sized paper holders and ink cartridges that are not supplied.
In the end we bought a Canon ip90 bubble jet, its quality is better and its simple and cheap to operate, it is superior in every way and can be used as a normal printer to.
This is a waste of money, its expensive to use, the quality of photo print is average, dont buy it.

Canon Selphy
Really pleased with this printer having been let down and disappointed by 2 separate Kodak machines. The Canon exceeded all my expectations
