At last, printable DVD's that work

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Mar 1, 2006
After wasting money on other so called reliable brands I decided to try these out. There are cheaper DVD's available but my advice is don't bother, unless of course your house needs a few Coasters.

Firstly, the printable surface on these blanks is great. I printed on them using a Epson R220 printer and the results were all superb. The discs were all dry to touch within minutes and certainly didn't need to be left until the next day for use.

As for writing and reading. My experience with other brands has made me very wary of blank DVD's. I checked these were compatiable with my writer and any devices that would be reading them. Everything checked out so onward to writing. For all their marketing blurb on the disc packaging let's just say one thing, THEY WORK! No coasters and the devices I've used them in seem to pick up data without any reading errors at all.

I won't be switching to another brand after using these.

Great product, amazing price

Fifty Sony inkjet-printable DVD-Rs for cheap. It seemed too good to be true. But, after ordering a spindle, I'm happy to report that it is indeed true.
Using my Canon printer on best setting, the results from these disks are amazing: true-to-life colours and razor-sharp text.
Clearly, however, there's little point having a beautiful label if the discs themselves don't work and here all seems well. Sony boasts about something called Accucore and its "fast addressing" and "temperature adaptability" but all I know about that is this: no coasters yet.

Cheap as chips

Work really well and consistently on my Sony HDD/DVD recorders. Once finalised I haven't found a player they don't work on yet. At this price I archive a lot of pogrammes from the hard disk. Excellent.

No brainer

Name: Sony... need one say more

Reliability: No coasters... and used lots

Printing: Excellent printing surface - at least on my HP D5160

Advice: No brainer.

Ya want reliable? These are it. Ya want cheap - well fine, look elsewhere. Me? I want good price, good brand, good reliability - so I will stick with these thanks.

Five out of five... and just about to order some more!
