Having just purchased a new Sony compact camcorder (DCR-SR range) I wanted to get a case that was not an obvious thief magnet and offered quality affordable protection. With the price difference so little between genuine Sony and independent case manufacturers I decided to go with the genuine article.
I have not had it long but it is well padded with a discrete small pocket, useful for a small battery or filter and the zips and clip seems good quality.
When fully closed the top is very well protected with the sides zipped shut and an additional flap over the top. It would have to be very wet indeed to ingress water into the fully closed case.
The only negative side I found, and this was TOTALLY my fault and no reflection on the product, was when I purchased a wide angle extension lens, it made the case a very tight fit, but I did get one of the physically biggest lenses!
All in all, a great little case.

I was looking for a case that did NOT turn a lightweight & compact camcorder (Sony DCR-HC35) into a heavy large item to carry around whilst out & about, the LCS-VAC lived up to my expectations, it can hold (in addition to the camcorder)1-2 spare tapes, the remote control & a spare battery OR additional small still camera. If you do not take the mains charger with you everywhere you walk to, then this is the case for you. I Paid £[...] including postage which is much cheaper then anywhere else I have seen since.

This is an ideal size for the compatible Sony Camcorder and is great for travelling with as is not too bulky but still roomy enough to fit in the associated accessories etc.

Its good, however my expectation was a bit high, It does not contain much space to fit some accesories like 2 or 3 battries. In that price I think its not such a great product

Large enough to fit my Sony Camcorder and my digital camera in - a snug fit. Feels strong and sturdy enough to deal with most knocks.
