Beware of the battery
I bought a different model of Acer laptop (Aspire 3003WLMi), which also has a Li ion battery. My problem is that the performance of the battery deteriorated soon after I bought the laptop - after 6 months the battery would only last 25 mins after a full charge, and after 13 months it lasted only 30 seconds! In fact, it is now so bad that if I try to start the computer up from the mains power source but with the battery still attached, the whole computer freezes until I remove the battery from the back. I contacted the Acer technical support and they told me that this is normal performance for a Li ion battery, and that I should not have had the battery inserted whilst I was running the laptop from the mains! They suggested that I buy a replacement battery, [...].The moral is, don't buy a laptop with a Li ion battery.
Good, Could be better though
I find this laptop good in terms of performance, it handles running several software packages at the same time well. I use lots of Adobe & Macromedia programs which run well.
I've had mine for a year now and its still going strong.
I should mention that the screen quality is quite poor, i only noticed this though when i compared it to a friends Sony laptop, which had a bright & brilliant screen, made mine look very dull.
Also for some very strange reason the laptop interferes with my TV reception, and causes lots of distortion!
