Very good but not perfect!

I have had the DVP-NS52 for a while now and I'm mostly pleased with it. Its design is very sleek and functional, although the face buttons are kind of small. The remote, however, is very nice and easy-to-use. As a DVD player it's very good, with excellent picture quality and lots of customization options (for colour balance, sharpness etc.) Music CDs all work OK, even Copy-Controlled CDs (which my previous Sony DVP-NS305 didn't play). MP3 and JPEG files work fine as well. The only gripes I have are related to the DivX playback: the NS52 will only play DivX files, not others like XviD etc. Also, it plays all DivX files in 50Hz (PAL) mode, which causes some frame-skipping in NTSC-encoded files. This is a shame, since it WILL switch to 60Hz to play NTSC DVDs. I have seen Philips DVD players that read XviD files and have PAL or NTSC output selection, so the lack of these options on the Sony model is kind of disappointing. I'm hoping Sony will introduce these functions in a future firmware upgrade, preferably with DivX 6 support... please?!?
