(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Aug 12, 2005I have had this camera on test for a couple of weeks and compared with the Fujifilm F10 zoom this does not even come close the quality of pictures are not as good and the battery life is not as good. I chose the Fujifilm F10 zoom every time.

The picture quality is excellent. Above all, I purchased it as it seems to be the most common camera used in conjunction with an underwater casing for dive photography. It served it's purpose here as well.

Mind-boggling complexity
(2 out of 5) by Mr. Paul R. Tuton on Aug 1, 2005 (East Yorks UK)I've little doubt that this gadget is a technological marvel. But for me, the complexity makes it unusable, and the instruction manual adds to the difficulty.
Once again, I'm borrowing my daughter's cheap & cheerful bottom-of-the-range Fuji FinePix. Can't beat it. The Ixus is now in a cupboard and I suspect it will collect dust there.
Prospective purchasers more interested in photography than technology might want to consider something that's less feature-laden, and easier to get along with.
