Poor and unreliable

(1 out of 5) by Ultramum on Jul 10, 2007 (UK)
Been using one of these since setting up my network last year. It works intermittently ... often not detected at start up :-(

I keep having to repair the network link, enable and disable XP's zero config as sometimes it works with it and other times it doesn't ... :-(

Recently it has been working less often than it hasn't and this weekend was extremly frustrating as it kept dropping the link for no apparent reason.

I gave up last night and bought a lynksys adapter instead - which seems to be much faster than the Belkin anyway.

I shan't be buying any Belkin add ons in future

OK but breaks...

(2 out of 5) by Mr. Andrew K. Phelps on Jul 16, 2006
I got one of these with my new belkin router (still works as good as new btw) but the dongle gave up after 10 months I have recently brought a new one and that lasted 6 months!

I have been using a Linksys adapter for 16 months now on my laptop (belkin one was used on my main pc) and it still works as good as new.

Great

I bought one of these this morning, added the software and off I went. This is for an computer that is over 5 years old and it picked up the signal straight away and now I can use the internet on both my PC's and laptop. I don't know if it makes a difference that my router is Belkin too, but I have no problems with this and would recommend it.

should be 0 stars

An absolute waste of money and effort. They must be putting these together using 3yr old children, no sorry they would be to intelligent for this pile of $^&£. Totaly useless, constantly disconnecting as if you have no internet at all. Please don't entertain it.

Go for the Edimax

I bought this and it worked great for around 6 months, then it just stopped working totally. I'm now on my second, but it has a lifetime warranty so I guess I can just keep getting new ones.
