Not as bad as feared
I Have had this machine now for 18 months (i have had 4 different freeview boxes) this one has a nice easy menu and electric channel guide. quick and easy setup. is very compact in design, and has a crisp picture (i use a set top aerial)
this occasionally freezes (not often) and just requires to switch on and off with the mains (instant) but this happens less than all the other freeview boxes i have had (which is why i have kept it the longest)

Ideal for a second set top box
I have a sagem ITD68 which has top up tv. if i record from this i then want to view other freeview channels a the same time.
living in the london area i am able to get both boxes working off the same aerial (use an amplified splitter but dont set it max setting other wise you get anomalies in the picture)
plug this and your other set top box into a scart switch box and you can record from one and watch the other. for the price why not!

Fansatic!!!!
i'm 17 and live at home i have my own PS2/DVD and a TV in my room but i've always wanted to have digital TV in my room so that in case two programs overlap in my household it always does so i brought this freeview box because it was cheap and look good and it is it's great readed the manual hocked it all up make sure it done properly turn it read the manual to sort and store the channels and done it works perfectly the sound is great and the picture too it has all freeview channel and the radio too the meau on the freeview box also tells you whats on even the next program and the next it's great since we had digital in the living-room i've always wanted in my room however some people that wrote reviews might say the picture is bad and sound dosen't work thats not true if the sound doesn't work it's most properly they have more than one scart lead in the back of one scart socket or the lead are not connected properly also note when my mum brought are living-room TV with the box inside we had a digital aerial installed so if the picture is bad it might not be the box but your aerial. i hope this has may your mind up into buying this product because it works for me and i think its great . P.S. make everything is connected and works
Perfect
This freeview box is perfect for the average user. Easy to set-up, easy to use, and gets all of the channels I could ask for! Very sturdy as well. Definately worth getting.

Good picture and easy set up
I did not read some of the negative reviews until after I had purchased, however I am very happy! Set up was a doddle. The first screen you see asks you to set the screen type and then after that everything was tuned in automatically.
Quality wise the box and remote are well made and the picture is wonderful after a lifetime of non digital tv. Well recommended!
