Really Fantastic Sound

(5 out of 5) by Mr. Fabian Mc Elhill on Dec 17, 2008
Got these today. Hooked up to an imac.

Beware you will need a dual phono to headphone jack converter. Good Gold set costs about £6.50 from Argos.

As for the sound, just amazing. Clarity is fantastic. As one other reviewer said the bass isn't particular special, but the bass throughout all speakers is incredible. Would recommend highly!

PS3 compatible??

(5 out of 5) by atrom on Aug 2, 2007 (UK)
Hi, does anyone know if I can use the system for my PS3. I've got my LCD, sky, DVD player and PS3 all hooked up. Will I be able to get this system to work for everything without having to switch cables around?

Amazing quality and sound

I got these speakers for Christmas and i have to say that my experience in playing games and watching movies on my PC has changed dramatically. even on a poor soundcard (like my 7.1 Sigmatel integrated audio)

The speakers give perfectly clean and crystal clear sound. The Sub gives perfect clarity without and rattling when turned up high. The level of Bass can easily be adjusted with the dial at behind the sub making it easy to adjust it for what you are using it for. The power behind this set is excellent and will change the way you hear music play games or watch movies.

I had no issues setting up these speakers its dead easy and takes less than a minute to do all you need is a 5.1 compatible soundcard and you're set.

I do however have a slight issues with the occasional clicking sound i hear that these speakers are sensitive to that so some surge protection on the power socket may help this but its very rare and it can be ignored.

Be aware that the speakers do not process the audio to 5.1 it plays what the computer tells it too so if you play a stereo mp3 only the left and right front speakers will play, some soundcards though can sort this out mine can't though

Overall its well worth the money and best of all they can be hooked up to a TV, DVD Player, Xbox, PS2 or PS3 as it comes with a small box that can split the cables from the PC's 3.5mm sockets to 2 RCA sockets so it would work for a home sound system as much as a PC sound system
