eviction looms

(5 out of 5) by Andy McIntosh on Jan 24, 2006 (newquay, cornwall United Kingdom)
Had few spare pounds after christmas to spend on my beloved computer so I thought I would treat my baby to a set of decent speakers.
The size of the box arriving at the front door was enough to get my heart racing, hurridly getting the box inside I was hit with my first dilemma, where the hell was I going to find room for the massive sub woofer in my small flat. This, however, was the only difficult thing about setting up these speakers.
My initial impression with the sound quality and style was a big thumbs up but the speakers really came to life when I put a DVD in; even my local cinema struggles to beat the quality they were producing(but then I do live in Cornwall).
Having been initially so impressed I bought an optical cable for them, which unfortunately is not included, and for the price I personally think it should be. Anyway the introduction of this cable just made a great set up absolutely amazing.
I have to try and keep the sub woofer turned down a bit as the thing is likely to cause structural damage aswell as upsetting most of the neighbours. The whole range of sound is incredible I can hear every string being plucked on music cds.
I have never been an audiophile but I think these Logitechs may be turning me in to one.
These speakers are incredible, my initial doubts about whether they are really worth all that dosh have been long forgotten and the only worry that remains is that if I don't learn to turn the damn things down I am going to be evicted either by the landlord or my girlfriend.

Very Good

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jan 3, 2006
I bought these speakers to replace some old ntech ones. These speakers are extremely good. The sounds quality is excellent. No distortion even at (the rather loud) full volume. There are so many features, I have not had the chance to explore all of them yet though, such as:
"You can simultaneously connect up to 6 audio sources (PCs, video game consoles, and DVD/CD/portable music players)."
Incredible. A good sound card is essential.

AMAZING SOUND

(5 out of 5) by JACK on Dec 14, 2005 (runcorn, cheshire United Kingdom)
Well opened the box to find a huge SUBWOOFER. Great sound, been to maplins and got the thx optical cable and it really brings call of duty 2 and need for speed most wanted to life. The wife even had to turn the music up after getting over the shock, the size of the subwoofer. Music in pro logic 2 mode is a joy to hear. Great buy and never hear the neighbours doing diy anymore.

Best speakers i have heard

(5 out of 5) by Mr. Charles A. Foley on Aug 22, 2005 (uk)
I have been looking round for speakers for weeks and took the plunge for these even though they are pricey and i think these are great, my audio pleasure has been enhanced immeasurably.

I currently have these speakers connected to my TV via phono cables to a spitter into the line in, the speakers decode everyday programmes into dolby surround which I thought was excellent and sounded good until, I optically connected my X box to play a 5.1 digital dvd and this is as crystal clear as the cinema.

I can't believe the quality of these speakers, i also connected my PC to these using the three 3.5mm jacks and again these were a lot more crisp than my current cambridgeworks 5.1 surround sound.

I found a way of connecting my audigy card via coax cable to a mono minijack(dont use stereo to carry a digital input it wont work)and turned off encoding from my audigy to let the speakers do the work and you have again digital quality coming from your computer providing the source is digital e.g a movie or game.

I would recommend these speakers to anyone who appreciates quality.

Wow!

(5 out of 5) by Mr Madlani on Aug 3, 2005 (KENT United Kingdom)
Earth-shaking and definatly mind-blowing. Playing rnb music on this really creates a whole new listening experience. Every vocal, mid and bass-line is heard with the most crisp of sound. Definatly recommend to anyone.
Only downside I would say is you need about 3 other cables just to plug the damn thing into a TV (assuming it doesnt have a digital optical or digital coaxial out).
