Look No Further ..

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Dec 3, 2005
Looking for speakers that produce the best sound either digital or analog .. Look no further. These speakers have got enough power to blow all the competition away. Hardware based Dolby Digital Decoding and DTS, are a treat. The bass is solid, and honestly, when you'll see the size of that sub you won't believe your eyes.

I live in a basement flat, which turned out to be lucky for me as If you live in a flat and not in basement, you neighbours will have serious complaints. Another note, they perfectly compliment my Appy Cinema Display. Superb metallic finish, just the right size of satellites .. Watch movies on hardware decoded Dolby or DTS modes, and listen to music in Stereo x 2 mode .. You'll spend hours of quality of time with them ..

Highly recommended .. and in terms of quality of build and sound .. they are worth more than what they are listed for ..

Cheers ..

(5 out of 5) by Bolous Abu Jaber on Oct 1, 2006 (Israel)
I recently Got this Crazy Sound Blasting 5.1 Surround system.
Its worth every penny. the Digital sound is pure.
The Bass is Exploding belive me when they say it can blow windows it can.
i had it set on my desktop and when i turn the bass on.. every thing on my desk starts jumping including my LG Flatron Screen.
the control panel is very helpful it has all the adjustments and settings you need and even more. as most of u said yes the box is amazingly big and heavy. and the sound is even louder than u can imagine. i can say its the best surround system every created..

(5 out of 5) by Mr. J. Reid on Jul 27, 2006
I have set this little beauty up to my xbox 360 using a optical cable and the sound is fantstic.I use to have the logic 3 surround sound system conected but the Z5500 beats it hands down. For the price i cannot think of any other system that sounds as good as this.A friend has a yamaha system costing over £700, and the Z5500 beats this hands down for sound quality.A MUST BUY!

Superb Set of Speakers

(5 out of 5) by Carl A. Pheasant on Apr 5, 2006 (London)
I purchased these following the other reviews read, and thanks to all the positive comments as I am certainly not let down by them.

Beautiful sound produced from my Xbox 360, connected optically, as it really comes to life hearing the bad guys from all directions.

TV, music and DVD out of my Media Centre PC is finally having justice done to it. A trip to the cinema the other day was a let down now as I now believe the quality of sound out of my PC is actually better!

Its not just the sheer volume capable it is the quality of that sound which is the best part. Crystal clear sound and perfect surround. Plenty of configuration possible to tune the sound but very little change from default needed to get the most out of them.

Buy them.

Easily worth the money

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 11, 2006
I recently purchased these speakers as an upgrade from some old Creative P580s which I had been using for over a year. Setup is simple, and the speakers now come with seperate speaker wire which allows you to replace with higher quality stuff if needs be. Compared to my old 5.1s, which I thought were good enough, the sound on these is phenomenal. I was impressed with the 6 channel direct connection provided out of the box, but however still decided to purchase a QED OT optical cable. If your soundcard supports this, I would highly recommend some sort of optical cable, as the sound became even clearer and allows higher distortion free levels of play back. Comparison of the two showed the sound to seem slightly muffled with the direct connection, and this was corrected with the optical cable. Overall, I highly recommend the speakers. Being a student, I was a bit worried about spending that amount, but after listening to the sound produced, I think they are well worth the money.
