Really good speakers

(5 out of 5) by Chris on Nov 19, 2005 (Nottingham, England)
These speakers are an excellent buy for the money. I bought these speakers after reading other customer reviews. When I unpacked the speakers, I was not expecting alot from them. Mainly because the subwoofer is very small. But when I played a track on them, I was very suprised by the quality of sound they produced.

As mentioned in other reviews: I have heard sounds on songs that I have never heard before on my stereo. The sound clarity is crisp and clear. These speakers are not as good as a hifi sound, but they are pretty close.

All in all, wicked set of speakers for 30 quid. I highly recommend them.

Disadvantages: If you crank up the volume too much you do get distortion. But this is common on all audio equipment. If you are sensible with the volume, the sound is great.

Excellent Speaker System

(5 out of 5) by S. Askham on Jan 14, 2008 (uk)
The quality of the speakers and Subwoofer base unit is, for the money, exceptional.
The base unit is a bit strong but when turned down to minimum it's fine.
Overall this has to be the bargain of the year.

Great for Portable Presentations

(5 out of 5) by S. Williams on Jan 14, 2008 (Bournemouth, Dorset United Kingdom)
The technical aspects are well covered by other reviewers - they are simply a great set of pc speakers for the money.

They are easy to set up and use for presentations, with sufficient controls to be able to fill a room easily with 'unstressed' sounds. Bass and volume are easy to adjust. The design is robust enough to move from location to location without worry.

A good, workmanlike, quality product for the money.

Amazing.

(5 out of 5) by S. Shah on Jan 13, 2008 (London, UK)
Having had simple stereo speakers for the past few years (of which one broke!) getting these was a new experience for me. In one word, they are AWESOME.

They are very clear and the bass packs a powerful punch without drowning out the music, which is great. My music now has a great punch behind it now, and as a hip-hop/metal fan that goes a long way.

The only downside to these is that the bass unit, (or subwoofer or whatever you call it!) is designed terribly. The sound control for the unit is at the back, which is also where the cable connects, so if you are anything like me, this is the side that faces away from you, but also leaves the bass level control out of reach.

Other than that, they are awesome, and look amazing in black. The satellite units have their own volume control and a power switch and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It should be noted that the sattelite unit volume control does not control the volume on the 3.5mm jack output.

I highly recommend these.

My advice for anyone looking to buy some reasonably priced speakers - Get These ! The sound quality is amazing for the £25.00 price...Sound is very crisp and the bass sounds great even at a low volume. Wish I had purchased these months ago
