I havent got an i-pod but....

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on May 3, 2005
I purchased this item as a gift for my husband who has a Creative Zen Jukebox 60GB. I took a long time reading every review on this item and decided that I would buy it anyway. The i-Station comes with 6 extra blanking plates ( for various i-pods and a universal one for any other mp3 player) and the Zen sits perfectly on the universal one. If you are using any other mp3 player, the wires from the player and the wires from the headphone socket into the i-Station will be visible but dont let that put you off, the sound from this little gadget is absolutely brilliant. I have even played my MuVo TX 256mb through the i-Station and the sound is still as good.
If you have an mp3 player, this item is a must have, the sound is so clear it almost sounds like a standard hi-fi. I also find the 3d sound option a lot better than the standard setting.
The only downside I have found is when my husband takes his mp3 player to work!!!!

Great value for money

(5 out of 5) by Laura Phillipson on Feb 6, 2006 (UK)
I bought my dad this system for Christmas because my brother who is a gadget wiz has an older version and takes it with him everywhere. I was really impressed with the sound and couldnt believe the quality for the size of the system.

I was so impressed I treated myself to one and have found it to be easy to use, impressively compact and an excellent sound for such small speakers

I have my ipod mini in it to charge and it is great for in the kitchen or bedroom. It looks great and comes with every power lead, connector or adapter possible.

You can connect to your pc or laptop, or to any other media player including a walkman or cd player.

At £39 you definately get excellent value for money.

Buy this if you are the sort of person who likes to put their ipod on when decorating or cooking or getting ready to go out and appreciate depth and quality rather than volume and massive floorboard shaking base.

All in all, an excellent piece of kit.

i-Station rocks!

(5 out of 5) by Sherinne on Jun 30, 2005
I needed speakers for my i-pod and spent days reading through reviews until I came across this set-up. The system is small and completely portable. The batteries don't last as long as I might have hoped but then I was cranking the volume up a bit more than I thought this tiny system could produce. The sound quality is fantastic and the volume is as good if not better than any portable system I have ever owned. It fits in a handbag, sounds great and can run off batteries. What more could I want?

A MUST BUY... FANTASTIC!!!!

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Apr 22, 2005
I was going to buy a similar system in the States but looked online and saw this one for less money! Thought it best to buy here due to the difference in plug.
This i-station is fantastic! Excellent sound. Looks stylish with the blue lights and very easy to carry around when travelling. I would strongly recommend getting one if you have an iPod.
Another advantage is that you get the European adaptor as well! What an excellent idea, saves having to carry adaptors!

Battery killer?

(4 out of 5) by Lola DeLorean on May 31, 2006 (UK)
The sound quality and value of this system is great i cant fault it. However I do have one concern which is that the system, by charging your ipod whenever ur ipod is in the cradle, is draining the ipods battery life. As you may know, ipods can only take so many charges until they wear out, and if like me you plan on using your speaker system alot, this could seriously damage the life expectancy of your ipod. I've used the speakers pretty much constantly since last September when I got them and they still work great... but my ipod mini now only plays with the speakers ie. when its being charged during play. It has literally no battery life, so im going to have to buy a new ipod altogether. Just a warning to you all!
