A Superb Product
(5 out of 5) by Ophiicus on Dec 22, 2004 (Norwich)It's not the cheapest desktop combo in the known universe, but it has it all. If you need more features than this set has, then I'd be surprised. It is multi-functional and media oriented, being linked in with the musicmatch Jukebox, which is no bad thing. Play, burn and organise your media at the touch of a button. Open your messenger program with one button: likewise calculator, webcam. my documents, my video, my pictures and all the MS Office programs if you opt for the alternative function key mode. If that isn't enough there are four programmable function keys, a scroll wheel on the keyboard plus integrated browser buttons - the list goes on. There's a very handy feature at button four on the mouse - an application switcher, which is extremely useful when you have multiple windows open.
It also looks pretty fine and is highly ergonomic to boot.
If you are thinking of treating yourself to something nice, this is worth the cash and, no, there's no cheque in the post on it's way to me from Logitech, I am genuinely impressed.

Brilliant Logitech LX501Cordless Desktop

After much research,I settled on the Logitech LX 501 from Amazon. I received it within 48 Hours of ordering, and to put it quite simply, it is a truly OUTSTANDING combination offering First Rate Ergonomics and Unbelievable Value for Money. Just BUY IT!!! You will DEFINITELY NOT be disappointed!!!

Better than the Microsoft Equivalent
(5 out of 5) by Roger Bradley on Feb 25, 2005 (UK)I purchased this to replace a Microsoft Wireless Elite Desktop. I'm glad I made the change. This is a superbly made piece of kit. It makes the Microsoft keyboard look like a dinosaur.
The keyboard is very slim compared to others. The keys have an excellent 'feel'. Not loud and clunky. None of the interference problems I experienced with the Microsoft set. The mouse could be a little more ergonomic. But it works a like a dream. My SuSE Linux system recognised and installed both the keyboard and mouse instantly.
A well designed, stylish keyboard and mouse.
