Quality Product

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jun 9, 2005
I have been looking to buy a set of decent speakers to use on holiday with my mp3 player, having always borrowed them in the past.
I eventually chose these and after comparing the sound with all the others I have to say these are so superior in range , clarity and volume that they are in a totally different class.
The build quality is also excellent.
Yes they are expensive, but they are worth it. Why buy a cheap set of speakers that will irritate you rather than be a pleasure to listen to ?

More attractive and compact than they look

(4 out of 5) by M. Galbraith on Aug 6, 2005 (Renfrewshire)
The image for these speakers does them no justice: This picture shows what they look like when in use - and it seems a bit boxy. But when closed and not in use, this speaker system is a slim, elegant item. It is about the half the size and shape of a typical paperback book. And the clever design means that you open the cover to create a stand for it to rest on. Hard to describe, but attractive all the same!

The sound quality is decent and works well with a range of devices. On our recent holiday the kids used it to improve the sound of the portable DVD that they took, and the adults used it to listen to mp3-stored music on our i-river. It has only minimal controls - volume adjustment - so it does help if the output device can be adjusted for bass etc, to your taste.

Overall, very satisfactory, and worth the money, given that the system appears to be robust and durable.

Seriously impressed!

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on May 21, 2005
Very impressive speakers. The sound is excellent, and the build quality and design are superb. I was almost put off by the photo which doesn't do them justice.

I was after something compact that I can take away with me. These certainly fit the bill. I'm much more impressed than I expected to be, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Excellent quality mini-speakers

(5 out of 5) by R. Allen on Mar 2, 2006 (Bathgate, Scotland)
The sound quality of these speakers are top notch for the size of the system. Most of these types of speakers sound really tinny, but not these, they even give out a better quality sound than my portable cd ghettoblaster which is about 10x the size! The build quality is excellent, the whole unit feels sturdy and is very aesthetically pleasing, even to my wife who usually hates the look of most of my gadgets. The one minor niggle that I have is the location of the jack/power sockets. They are on the back of the unit hidden when the top cover is closed and it can be a little fiddly trying to plug things in. Personally I would have preferred one on each side of the unit.

best small speakers money can buy!

(5 out of 5) by B. Snell on Sep 8, 2005 (weymouth, dorset United Kingdom)
i brought these speakers a few weeks ago and i am very pleased with the purchase. As soon as you have the unit in your hand you can tell that this is a quality piece of kit,get them out of the box and they first look like a hip flask!slide the cover over and wham you have some small but fantastic speakers.I plug my iriver into mine and play all sorts of music on them and the sound will amaze.if you turn away and listen you would never guess that this tiny speker system is pushing out this sound quality. If your looking to buy some travel speakers i would say buy these they will last for ever and the sound wont let you down.i travel the outdoors with mine and they take up little room in my kit.get some now
