Pioneer DV-370S Multi Region DVD Player
2. Played discs from regions 1 2 & 3 without problem
3. Plays all my home movie DVD+R & +RW also DVD-R & -RW
4. Excellent picture
I paid £ 68 ish (Delivered) for this player - You could easily pay four times that amount and get no better machine...
Excellent Value!!
About 2 minutes after receiving it, I had it plugged in and connected. Put in a region 2 disc and was extremely happy with the picture / sound quality. It's also much faster than my previous Sony 725 when skipping chapters etc, basically it's instant.
I then tested a region 1 (RCE) disc, no problems at all! Likewise with a region 3 disc.
Finally I tried two different types of DVD-R disc, both played perfectly.
I'm yet to test DVD-RW discs or playing mp3 / photos, but I'm not expecting any problems.
The only thing that did not work was the progressive scan, which I expected would work on my 100Mhz Sony TV, but didn't. I suspect the TV can not support it.
All in all, if your looking for a cheap / good looking multi player that plays DVD-R / -RW, I would recommend you go for this one!!!
DVD player, Pioneer DV-370S, Muti-Region
Initial settings, then Video Output, then AV connector out, then select it to RGB. Sorted.
Bargain quality - plays everything...
Small and sleek (I got the black one - looks even better if you ask me) a marvel and a bargain. Sure you could pay more and get the much respected new Pioneer 575 - but do you really need to play DivX's, SACD and DVD Audio? If not then go for this - it's definitely a step up from the 360 - and look at the reviews that got from happy customers on Amazon...
