During the a recent 2 week trip I took over 160 pictures and several video clips, filling two 128MB cards (you have to buy these seperately so include that in your budget), and I didn't need to charge the battery until a few days after I returned home! So the battery life is impressive verging on amazing. The enormous screen is great for checking the pictures as you take them, it's so big even old people can see them without a PC near by. The camera fits nicely into the pocket of a baggy pair of slacks so you can take it everywhere and it takes fantastic photographs. It's great buy one!!!!!

Metal body, lovely expensive feel, reliable controls and simple menu structure. HUGE 2 inch TFT display, ace cradle that not only recharges your camera while downloading images via USB but also looks classy while its doing it! Picture quality is very good, white balance is excellent, flash is plenty powerful enough and there are lots of preset macros to try for different situations. Close up photos are just amazing, showing incredible detail and sharpness. For a good, general purpose camera you simply cannot go wrong, its small enough for you to always carry with you and take those pictures that you missed with your previous 'house brick' camera. Battery life is superb, a weeks holiday, lots of piccies and lots of watching the slideshows of them during the week on that cinema sized screen didnt dent the battery at all - top marks to Casio.
