I can safely say that this is the best cd player I have bought. The sound is top quality with you able to change the frequencies. Also the software is very easy to use , and the group function on the player allows easy navigation though the albums you put on. The player itself is very well built and robust. 85 hours playback with great choice of sound types and easy navigation !! You cant beat it. If you buy this you wont be disappointed.

I looked at a lot of CD players before buying the Sony D-NE900 and i thought it was magnificant. when u see it in the picture imust say it looks much betetr when u hold it in your hands and feel how light it is. it is kinda shaped like a space ship but despite the looks the thing that i gound really interesting about this beauty was the size and the battery life ( a massive 85 hours) it is tres bonne!!!
the cradle is very good and is very useful.
It came packaged very safely within two days with everything you need including a mains adapter/charger, ear phones, rechargable batteries and the software for ATRAC3/ATRAC3PLUS.
The ATRAC system is fantastic and very easy to use.
The only negative points about the D-NE900w are the ear phones which are just terrible, whcih is not suprising. but try geting a good pair like the MDR-ED21LP.
the remote control is a beauty as it is backlit and has csd text. i always thought there is no point in buying a cd player when there is no remote to control it when it is your bag.

I am writing a petition to send the Sony person who invented this MP3 CD player out to the desert island of their choice and given as much Saki and Sushi to eat as they like, for as long as they like, with free massage by attractive men / women. This item has given me an awful lot of pleasure over the last 3 months, It's reliable, the batteries last ages, the sound is great, the anti skip protection actually works (for a change), and the extra clip on controller they give you even lights up and to tell you what track its about to play FOR PETES SAKE!!. What more do you want? I Thoroughly recommended it.

This is so small and light.......the sound is superb.
All you need to do is dump the headphones and replace them with Shure E2c earphones ( which are actually better than the more expensive E3s ..and dont fall apart like some of the more expensive sony upgrades.)
Also dont bother with Attrac ..just rip to MP3 and enjoy .
Also if you dont mind lugging a few cds around with you.......you will have even better sound. But for standard MP3s
with 700 mb of music on a disc that you can buy for 15p this is a cheaper and much more flexible alternative to an ipod
or anything else at the moment.
