Acer MP3 Flashstick

However, the radio is rubbish (difficult to use and struggles to pick up a signal- therefore, ends up just being in the way). It isnt built in the flashstick, its a gadget that is attatched to the earphones. Different machine all together. But if ur not bothered about the radio, it deserves 5 stars. I've just used it for the first time and downloaded 45 songs onto it. Wont hold anymore. The buttons are great- little toggle thing on the side to flick through all those tracks. Definitely worth every penny. Sounds great (not the radio). In conlcusion: A pretty sexy gadget. Enjoy

Not bad.

The player itself is a lovely little piece of kit, and when using it you can't really go wrong: the play/pause and the fast forward/reverse buttons are easy to find and use, and there's a hold button to stop any inadvertent button pressing while it's in your pocket or around your neck.
Copying files onto the player couldn't be easier (if you've got XP) and is simply a matter of dragging the files onto your removable disk. The player comes with its own USB extension so once it's plugged in there's no need to go fiddling around at the back of your PC. However, once the songs are on the player there doesn't seem to be a way to play them in any order - the songs just seem to play alphabetically which is a bit frustrating.
As has been mentioned: the radio is pretty useless. When I first received the player I checked out the radio and got a perfect reception. However, when I've been out and about I've been unable to pick up anything at all.
If anything the 128MB isn't really enough for me. I put two albums on it (songs at 128Kbps) and there wasn't enough space for a third album. And these are not compilation albums I'm talking about (Keane and Snow Patrol). To fit more songs on you have to knock the quality down a little, but seeing as you are listening through bog-standard earphones it's not THAT noticable.
Talking of the earphones, I found them extremely comfortable and thought the sound quality was fine.
Overall, a great first choice for an MP3 player. Maybe go for one with more memory if you like to have lots of music on hand.

Read This First!

Good Points: Sound quality (although I have not tried the supplied headphones, I used a pair of Philips) I also thought the box it came in was good!
Bad points: Cheap plastic case. Rotating style USB connection leaves gap in side of player which picks up fluff etc from your pocket (maybe I need to clean my pockets more often). The headphones are bundled with the 'medallion man' style radio and neck cord (and they are not separable) you therefore have this lot swinging around your neck! I haven't tried the radio either.
Overall impression was not of a good engineered German product. Finally the manual did make me chuckle, who do they get to translate into English? I tend to think that you can also rate the product quality by the attention applied to the user manual.

Excellent
(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 21, 2004Small light just what i wanted. it holds over 30 songs. quick easy and simple to use. Havn't tried the radio yet but other than that it is good batteries last for about 10 hours of music. Value for money

Its sleek design and cool interior make it a must for gadget lovers worldwide, and its ability to record both voice and digital quality radio signals make it very helpful if you are on the go...
In terms of technicality this product also finishes at first position, with its large memory capacity of 128mb, which my friend has not yet managed to fill!!!
Overall i would rate this product to anyone looking for a budget priced mp3player with luxury added functions.
