This mp3 player is good

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Dec 7, 2003
This is really good for the price. It only has 128MB which holds about 30-40 songs but what do you expect for £95! It looks great, it sounds good, it can be used to transfer data like a data stick.

The only reason I wouldn't buy this is if you want more than 128MB of memory. If you just want an MP3 player for sports, etc. buy this one. I bought mine for my snowboarding holiday and it was exactly what I wanted.

An excellent purhcase

(5 out of 5) by Alistair Duncan on Jun 19, 2004 (UK)
I recently bought this player and so far I cannot find fault with it. The sound quality is excellent and I have managed to fit about 40 songs onto it in WMA format. It takes AAA batteries and a new battery lasts for a very good period of time. I am a high user of the player and one battery lasts easily two days.

Unlike other reviewers, I actually find the supplied head phones to be very good. Although the long cable can be a pain unless you tie up some of the slack.

A feature I especially like is the supplied arm strap so you can mount the player on your upper arm on those occasions when you don't have a convenient pocket.

The on-board interface is quite intuitive and won't take long to get your head around.

Buy one today.

Great Buy!

(4 out of 5) by Steve on Mar 16, 2004 (Bangor, NI.)
Thought I'd add a good review to counter some of the bad ones I've read.
Bought mine at the start of the year and used it every day for two months in the heat and dust of Africa without any problems. The only fault I found was with the earphones which I had to replace the day after I bought it. Hence, only 4 stars.
Didn't encounter any problems loading tracks with XP. Managed to load about 60 of them. Instead of using the Creative software to convert my CDs to mp3, I used Media Player. This reduced the size of the tracks by around 40%.
Well worth the money considering it's size, capacity and ease of use.

Nice buy...

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jan 12, 2004
I bought it, it had some problems with the ear pices but the mp3's are playing fine. It also has 5 band EQ that help, not to mention the memory stick capabilities that made me change my mind about Iriver (and buy this one), plus that at this money is probably the best buy.
It also includes nice software for ripping (no doubt, it is from Creative).

Perfect

(5 out of 5) by Daniel O'Leary on Aug 30, 2004 (Cork, Ireland Ireland)
What a great player!

Spent ages going through reviews online and checking out my mates mp3 players (some were cheaper but not as good).
Been using this thingy for a few months now when out jogging or going to the gym, no probs with decay in the gym bag making a mess of this, very hardy dropped it a few times with no tears.
The software is easy to use, controls are logical and unlike a few of them, its easy to clip to pants (I did change the ear phones though!!)
Go on..You Know you went to....Get the 256 MB if you can
