When i got this as a replacement when my old one broke, i was slightly worried. when i started to use it i found it to be far better that my older Sony miniDiscman. it was easyer tonavigate round and the sound quality was amazing even when i was recording MP3's from my computer via the supplyed analog cable!the thing that stood out the most was the clarity or the sound. it also provides bass on 4 different levels so you can choose how much of a headache you get!never once since i have had has it joged and the MDLP function is outstanding, alowing you to fit 5 hours of musin on one 80 minuit MiniDisc!on my old Sony one, it had this function but when it was recorded on this function the sound became notaceably worse whereas on this Sharp model i couldnt noace any differane! The battery also lasts a long time, about 55 hours from 1 AA battery!
If you are lookin for a minidiscman that combines sound AND good looks?!this is the one to choose!and you can now find them at affordabe prices sometimes as lov as £60!
I hape this review has helped you to get an idea of this minidisc player, I'm not bein bias because i have one, i really would recomend it to anyone who likes their music!

To minidisk or not to minidisk. That was the question.

I purchased my Sharp MDMT280E Minidisc secondhand from Amazon for a measly £25. It was originally only intended for holiday use but I've become attached to this usefull little gadget. Recording is a cinch thanks to the optical lead and the fact that you can store 4/5 albums on each disk means that you can travel with a small library of tunes. I'll be connecting mine up to the car stereo soon which will work comparably to a CD head unit but for a fraction of the cost and greater versatility. I would recommend this unit to all. It might not be the best out there but even at the RRP I still rekon it's a great purchase.
